By downloading or using Codex - HTML Editor ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).
2. Your content
You retain all rights to the code, files, and projects you create. You are solely responsible for your content and for backing it up. Because content is stored locally, deleting the App or losing your device may permanently delete your projects.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to create, host, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, and not to reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App except as permitted by law.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (e.g., monthly and yearly) and a one-time Lifetime purchase that unlock Pro features.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
5. Free and Pro features
Some features are limited on the free tier (for example, a limited number of projects and templates) and unlocked with Pro. Feature availability may change over time.
6. Third-party servers (SSH/SFTP)
If you connect to remote servers, you are responsible for those servers, your credentials, and any data you transfer. We are not responsible for third-party servers or services.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that previews/tests reflect behavior in every browser or environment.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes
We may update the App and these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
