Lucia Coello Poole received the 2023 Roy G. Post Scholarship for their research in nuclear energy and packaging. “The Roy G. Post Foundation provides scholarships to students to develop careers in the safe management of nuclear materials and to participate in the Waste Management (WM) Conference. It is a prestigious scholarship awarded every year to a dozen undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world.” Congratulations Lucia!

2021-05-13 Paper published The paper, Experimentally-Benchmarked kinetic simulations of heat transfer through rarefied gas with constant heat flux at the boundary, has been published in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. This paper is a collaboration with Pro. Irina Graur, Dr. Yann Jobic, and M Khan from the Unioversity of Aix Marseille in France.

2020-08-24 New Course Developed Dr. Hadj-Nacer proposed a new class, ME 764: Two-Phase Heat Transfer and Flow, in which students will learn about thermodynamics and interfacial phenomena associated with phase change and two-phase processes, such as nucleation, bubble and droplet growth, evaporation, and condensation. Dr. Hadj-Nacer will start offering this course in Fall 2020. More details about this class can be found here. Students interested in this class or would like to give some suggestions are welcome to contact Dr. Hadj-Nacer for more details.
