The SGSecure national movement is Singapore's community response to the threat of terror. It aims to sensitise, train, and mobilise our community to prevent and deal with a terror attack.
Everyday, our country faces threats which disrupts our social harmony and way of life. Everyone in Singapore needs to play an active role to build a strong foundation of community vigilance, cohesion and resilience, so that the terrorists will not succeed.

When you spot a suspicious person or object:

You should observe the person or article from a safe distance and note down their description.
For persons, you should note these characteristics:
- Build and Height: Small, medium, thin, plump, muscular
- Complexion: Fair, tanned, dark
- Distinctive Characteristics: Tattoos, spectacles, scars
- Hair: Curly, short, long, dyed (colour)
- Race: Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian etc.
- Type and Colour of Clothing and Footwear: Colour, type (t-shirt, overall, sleeveless or short-sleeved, etc.), or prominent logos or brands
- Items Carried: Guns, knives, sling bag, waist-pouch, etc.
To complete the HFS course and obtain your badges, cadets are now required to:
- Brainstorm, plan & implement advocacy project and
- Tips on advocacy & how to be an advocate of SGsecure.
Using their project, cadets are required to complete the following task:
- For NPCC cadets: Participate with an NPC in a PYA project to showcase your advocacy project. (not required in 2020 only)
- For NCDCC cadets: Participate in the annual Service Month
