20 years of supporting the exam season to contribute the development of Viet Nam education

The "Exam Season Supporting" program is a social program to support candidates to enter universities and colleges. The program was first organized by the Center for Student Support in Ho Chi Minh City since 1996 with the name of Program to support candidates for university and college entrance exams. In 2001, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, the Ministry of Education and Training, Thanh Nien Newspaper and Thien Long Group replicated the model and organized the program with the official name of the " Exam Season Supporting " program.

Previously, after graduating from high school, hundreds of thousands of candidates and their relatives prepared to go to college and university entrance exams held in big cities and provinces. Candidates and family members will face many difficulties such as transportation, place to live, new environment, and pressure on homework before a big exam. Faced with that situation, the program was established with the desire to support and help candidates have a safe exam and get the best results.

The program has a variety of supporting activities such as transporting candidates, modeling a fleet of cheap motorbike taxis, providing accommodation near the exam site for parents and candidates, assisting candidates with exam procedures, ensuring Traffic order and safety in the exam area, transportation of candidates, granting scholarships, guiding candidates to review...

20 years, a long path

Over the past 20 years, the activity has undergone many adjustments to suit changes in society and education. Besides, the "Exam Season Supporting" program has become a companion to the education industry and a "partner" of all candidates in each university and college entrance exam before and now. Thereby, the program also gradually contributes to change education, especially in exams.

With positive meanings and values, the "Exam Season Supporting" has been responded, supported and actively participated by many sectors of society, becoming a prestigious social activity.

Feeling from the program, I can clearly see that young people, from anxiety and nervousness at the beginning of the journey, have changed to a state of radiance and peace of mind when they receive support and guidance from wholehearted encouragement from enthusiastic "blue shirts". Scholarships, donated bicycles, transportation, meals on exam day, and free accommodation have all contributed to reducing many of the worries for students and parents...

Human makes everything, but education makes human. The program creates more favorable conditions for all students from all over the country, from remote areas, rural areas with many difficult circumstances to take the entrance exam to universities in a small thornier way. The material and spiritual support of the program helps to broaden the young generation's opportunities to enter the university gate.
