A campaign to honor International Day of Peace
from Pizza 4P’s and Ki Saigon

On World Peace Day this week, Vietnam-based small restaurant chain Pizza 4Ps joined with Ki Saigon to bring their vision of making the world smile for peace, one pizza at a time, to life.
For all of us there is nothing beautiful than the word peace because it brings people closer than ever and bind nations together. Understanding the value, this 21 September we collaborated with Ki SaiGon to launch a week-long campaign called Pizza for Peace, to convey the message of peace through culinary arts and crafts.
This campaign has been conceived in advance, we see many similarities between peace and happiness. The first idea only stopped at just sending the message through short films for everyone, but then we expanded more and our final decision was to bring real experiences for like-minded people who seek for the beauty of it.
From 21 – 27 December those who come to our flagship branch will have the chance to try special menu. We worked under chef Shotaro Hirukawa and Natsumi Kobayashi’s guide and have created 3 pizzas. Each of them combined ingredients from two countries that are now having conflict: United Kingdom and China, India and Pakistan, Israel and Palestine, in order to prove that unite is a great way to peaceful coexistence.
Customers, partners, family, and friends are all encouraged to enjoy Pizza 4P's realm of serenity and unity, in both the physical and emotional senses, at the chain's Hai Ba Trung location. The revenues from the sale of the Peace Pizzas will be donated to the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
Giving you a taste of peace Pizza 4P's thinks that peace is the one cosmic element that can improve everything. With this brief in hand, Ki Saigon devised a concept in which the trademark cooking elements of nations with a history of violence coexist together in one cuisine.
The months of experimenting, overseen by chefs Shotaro Hirukawa and The Natsumi Kobayashi, culminated in three distinct Peace Pizzas mixing ingredients from India and Pakistan on one, Israel and Palestine on another, and China and the United States on the third. The concept of Pizza 4P's Peace Week Event is conveyed through a child-like animated movie in which two butterflies on separate searches for a critical component to happiness finally discover it by finding each other, demonstrating how lovely the world would be if we all joined together.
The icing on the cake was how they changed the 4P's pizza boxes into a 'garden of peace,' re-engineering the pizza boxes to open to an elaborate, handcrafted three-dimensional blossom oozing calm, serenity, and tranquillity. Each flower bloom (27 in all) mixes the colors of the two flags: Israel and Palestine; China and the United States; and India and Pakistan. During this 'peace week,' no fewer than 250 of these boxes are being placed together as an art work dubbed 'garden of peace' at a marquee 4P's location.
A small interview with Yosuke Masuko, Pizza 4P's founder and CEO
What inspired you to come up with the idea?
The adventure began several months ago, when the Pizza4P team met with us to discuss creating a short video about their idea. When we learned about their aim of making the world smile for peace, as well as the ideals on which the organization was founded—compassion, kindness, and hope—we thought it required something far more than simply a film. Throughout the process, we developed a strong bond with the 4Ps founders and their staff. So we started looking at different methods to bring their idea to life in a more visceral way. The customer offered us entire flexibility and trust, which played a significant role in bringing this to reality.
What are some of the one-of-a-kind experiences that guests can look forward to at Pizza 4P's Hai Ba Trung on September 21?
Everyone who visits our flagship Hai Ba Trung location between September 21 and 27 will be able to sample the unique Peace Day menu, which includes three 'Peace Pizzas': China and the United States, India and Pakistan, and Israel and Palestine. These countries have distinct flavors, and if they can coexist on a pizza, so can we.
In addition, we will be displaying a collection of original artworks and installations commissioned specifically for the occasion. Beginning with a series of flags that adorn the whole room, each comprising a combination of basic forms taken from a pizza, a triangle, and a circle to serve as symbols of peace and unity. Guests will also be able to witness the Murals for Peace, a collection of stencil artworks produced using the exact spices included in each of the Peace Pizzas, as well as explore our Garden of Peace.
This garden is housed within a Pizza 4P's pizza box. Its flowers are handcrafted, and the colors are a mash-up of the flags of the countries at odds. During Peace Week, over 250 boxes and beautiful flowers will be on exhibit. Copies of our 'Book of Peace,' a three-dimensional pop-up book showcasing these flowers, will be available for purchase, with all sales benefiting the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund, just like the earnings from the sale of Peace Pizzas.

Which of the flavors you're offering is your personal favorite, and why?
It is hard to choose just one pizza as our favorite in the spirit of this occasion. In fact, we would love to lunch with you and have a more in-depth talk about how we feel. We may talk about how this experience influences our sense of calm and contentment, both inside ourselves and in our surroundings. If we can accomplish this, we will have taken a significant stride forward!
Peace week event comes from the mission we put on top "Make the world smile about peace, with every pizza". This campaign of Pizza 4P’s hopes to bring everyone a message of love, hope and compassion to build a world that makes more sense than ever before.
