The internship is to help Blloc.com develop the first Blloc phone with its own customed ROM. My job includes development of Keyboard packages and integration of social medias.
The internship aims to build a low-power version of Rysta using NB-IoT module. Currently the Rysta device is using ESP8266 as a micro-controller with WiFi module. However, the problem is that it requires wired power source because of using WiFi for transmission. Therefore, Rysta is seeking another power solution. With the cooperation of Telefónica, I help Rysta to integrate the current Rysta device with a NB-IoT module using cellular network. Furthermore, the prototyping is done with deploying the NB-IoT devices in a customer project: Kitchen Water Damage Monitoring System. Worth mentioning is that the NB-IoT multi-sensor Rysta device was further launched in German market as the first of its kind.
I was working as a full-time intern in software and firmware team of R&D department at Logitech International S.A, where my supervisor is L. Mealares.
During the internship, I engaged in the internal innovation competition with hundreds engineers. After entering the final round, an individual booth was run by me along with the self-designed poster to raise votes from all the employees of Taiwan branch. (See the picture on the left.) At the end, I won the 8th prize.
