Dr. Hsuan-Wei "Wayne" Lee is a dedicated researcher with a passion for addressing interdisciplinary health and social science challenges through the application of mathematical modeling and statistical principles. His research focuses on social networks, mathematical epidemiology, computational social sciences, and evolutionary game theory, with a particular interest in public health issues. He often uses computer simulations and advanced knowledge in graph theory, differential equations, combinatorics, statistical physics, stochastic processes, applied statistics, and machine learning techniques to investigate a variety of complex systems, especially social networks, their characteristics, formation, evolution, and the prediction of system behaviors. Much of his collaborative research addresses the dynamics of structured and random graphs and the impact of these dynamics on public health outcomes. His recent work includes studying the spread of infectious diseases, understanding public perceptions of health interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of public health policies. Additionally, he employs principles of evolutionary game theory to understand and predict behavioral strategies in public health contexts, such as vaccination uptake and cooperation in health initiatives. Through his interdisciplinary approach, he aims to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve health outcomes and inform public health strategies.
