PLTW at Carmel High School
The PLTW (Project Lead The Way) Engineering program provides students with a hands-on, project-based learning experience that introduces the principles of engineering, design, and problem-solving. Through a sequence of courses, students explore topics such as computer-aided design (CAD), robotics, and systems thinking while working collaboratively to solve real-world challenges.
Students in the program also have the opportunity to earn college credit for each course through partnerships with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and the University of New Haven, giving them a head start on their post-secondary education while gaining valuable technical skills.
