“Knowledge only has true value when it’s shared.” ~ Tony Geoghan
The aim of the HSS Knowledge Management System (KMS) is to support the development of a culture of knowledge sharing and the utilization of knowledge management to achieve organizational and continuous improvement.
It is through our sharing of knowledge that we will continue to develop as professionals and build on the excellent foundation that we currently have to remain relevant and continue adapting to our changing educational landscape for the betterment of not only our institution but our students.
Process for Obtaining Approval for Information to be Officially Added to the KMS
Information to be officially added to the site will fall under the responsibility of a committee.
Currently the committees are:
HSS KM Committee – Responsible for General School Knowledge
Mathematics KM Committee – Responsible for Knowledge related to Mathematics
Step 1:
Please select a committee which you believe your information should fall under and engage that committee. If the selected committee believes the information should fall under the purview of another committee, it will make that suggestion to you.
If your information falls under the HSS KM Committee, it must be reviewed, and approval obtained from
Principal or Deputy Principal and
the HSS KM Committee
If your information falls under the Mathematics KM Committee (or any of other soon to be added departmental KM Committee), it must be reviewed and obtain approval from
Department’s Head of Department (HOD) and
the Department’s KM Committee (e.g. Mathematics KM Committee)
Step 2:
The documents must be submitted via email to the respective parties.
For the committees, please email copies to all members of the committee who can be found on the “About” page. The Head of the committee will respond with approval after review. The Principal, Deputy Principal or HOD will respond via email with approval after review.
Step 3:
Once you have received the approval emails, please complete the Artifact Submission Form. The head of the committee will add the document to the KMS, update the Knowledge Artifact Version Logs and send you an email with its location.
Through in-person or online interactions and discussions from each other, we will build on the knowledge, skills and experiences that we each bring to the community to develop as an individual and an organization.
External stakeholders will also be engaged to assist in our development as a team through in-person workshops and webinar training.
