Hebron is a school with a very rich history, spanning more than a century, with many different ethnicities, nationalities and backgrounds. It is on this base of diversity that our team chose to establish the inaugural HSMUN, a celebration of everything our school represents. We hope with HSMUN 22', we can establish a long lasting tradition that will bring out the best in our students and others for years to come.
The most important thing to the secretariat is providing a platform for students to express their views on global issues that we often find passing us by. A wildfire here, a coup d'état there, things often seem distant and unimportant while cooped up at home under a mandatory lockdown. We hope to change this by immersing delegates into these issues head to toe, allowing them to put themselves into the shoes of someone from a completely different part of the world, with a completely different mindset and worldview.
We understand the challenges that online conferences bring, but given the current circumstances, we hope delegates will try and make the best of the situation. While larger, in-person conferences can be more dramatic and closer to the real thing, we hope that the online format will give delegates, especially newer ones, more involvement and presence in committee.
HSMUN 2022 will commence on the Saturday 17th of January for a span of 2 days, ending on the Sunday the 18th. All participating delegates will be awarded a Certificate of Participation, and top performing delegates can earn the following prizes:
Best Delegate (1 Per Committee: Cash prize ₹ 1000 + Certificate)
Outstanding Delegate (1 Per Committee: Certificate)
Honorable Mention (2 Per Committee: Certificate)
