吳信德 Hsin-Te Wu , Ph.D.

Dr. Hsin-Te Wu received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Technology at National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan.
Dr. Wu has extensive academic, administrative, and research experience in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, interdisciplinary engineering, and university–industry collaboration. Before joining National Changhua University of Education, he served at National Taitung University, National Ilan University, National Penghu University of Science and Technology, and Fortune Institute of Technology, where he undertook teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, Agentic AI, intelligent hyperautomation, knowledge engineering, expert systems, generative AI, multimodal learning, federated learning, explainable AI, blockchain, the Internet of Things, network security, and intelligent industrial applications. His recent research focuses on integrating AI agents, large language models, knowledge graphs, neuro-symbolic reasoning, and intelligent automation to develop trustworthy, adaptive, and knowledge-driven expert systems.
Dr. Wu has published extensively in international SCI- and SSCI-indexed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Sensors Journal, Mobile Networks and Applications, The Journal of Supercomputing, Library Hi Tech, Frontiers in Psychology, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, and Enterprise Information Systems. His research addresses AI-enabled industrial systems, AIoT, cybersecurity, blockchain applications, intelligent education, smart healthcare, and sustainable technologies.
He has served as principal investigator or co-principal investigator for numerous research and educational projects supported by Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council, Ministry of Education, Industrial Technology Research Institute, and other public and industrial organizations. These projects have involved generative AI, augmented and virtual reality, smart manufacturing, STEM education, unmanned aerial vehicles, industrial metaverse applications, and AI-driven decision-support systems.
Dr. Wu also actively contributes to the international academic community as a journal editor, guest editor, reviewer, conference organizer, and special-session chair. His editorial and research activities emphasize emerging topics such as Agentic AI-enabled knowledge engineering, intelligent hyperautomation, multimodal AI, trustworthy AI, AIoT, and next-generation expert systems.
His long-term research vision is to develop intelligent, explainable, sustainable, and human-centered technologies by integrating AI, knowledge engineering, intelligent automation, and cyber–physical systems. He is particularly interested in strengthening collaboration among academia, industry, and government and translating advanced AI research into practical engineering and societal applications.
吳信德博士畢業於國立中山大學資訊工程學系,取得資訊工程博士學位,目前擔任國立彰化師範大學電機與機械科技學系副教授。
其研究領域涵蓋人工智慧、代理式人工智慧、智慧超自動化、知識工程、專家系統、生成式人工智慧、多模態學習、聯邦學習、可解釋人工智慧、區塊鏈、物聯網、網路安全及智慧工業應用。近期研究著重於整合人工智慧代理人、大型語言模型、知識圖譜、神經符號推理與智慧自動化技術,建構可信賴、可解釋、具適應性且由知識驅動的新世代專家系統。
吳博士曾於國立臺東大學、國立宜蘭大學、國立澎湖科技大學及和春技術學院從事教學、研究與行政工作,具有豐富的跨領域研究、學術行政及產學合作經驗。其研究成果廣泛應用於智慧製造、AIoT、智慧教育、智慧醫療、無人機、資訊安全及永續科技等領域。
吳博士長期參與國際期刊編輯、特刊規劃、論文審查、國際研討會及專題議程籌辦,並積極推動大學、產業與政府部門之間的研究合作。其長期研究目標為整合人工智慧、知識工程、智慧自動化及虛實整合系統,發展智慧化、可信賴、永續且以人為本的工程技術與實際應用。
