Arts for all

I am trained as an industrial designer and I am a full professor at San Francisco State University in the School of Design.

In my spare time, I teach jewelry and youth arts classes at Sharon Art Studio, the oldest community arts studio in San Francisco. I am also a volunteer for the YMCA of San Francisco as well as the PTA of Jose Ortega Elementary School (SFUSD) where I coordinate enrichment activities for grades K-5.

Community arts provide an outlet and a voice for all, bringing youth and adults together in the shared goal of creation and self expression. Teaching, volunteering and contributing to building communities through the arts is my way of giving back to the city and community I love.
