Hello,

Welcome to the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, where more than 150 incredible people spend their time preparing food donated by local organizations, catering to the needs of our guests, and creating a warm environment in our entirely student-run transitional shelter!

We work hard to keep a welcoming, inviting, and affirming space, and we are so excited to welcome you into this community. In order to preserve this space, we ask that all volunteers complete this training module prior to coming in. Completing the quiz in STEP 6 will let us see you have done the training and are able to volunteer - if you do not get at least an 80% on the quiz, please retake it. Thank you for all you do - your efforts are invaluable to this work, and we are always available to answer any questions or concerns at hshs.volunteer@pbha.org!

(NOTE: These videos were recorded during previous seasons, but the information presented here is still up to date. One logistical note is that breakfast shifts will start at 6:15 AM, as opposed to 6:30 in previous seasons).

With shelter love,

Wasan and Gabriella
