We need your responses on SPOND asap. We need to get to minimum of 14 or 28 if we are to have 2 games.

Travel down on Friday 31st July or Saturday morning, potentially 2 concurrent games (50's / 60's) on Saturday afternoon at Canterbury University, Sunday morning inter-squad game and return Sunday afternoon.

Pricey Cup Winners - again!

On 17th August 2025, a combination of HS Spartans & HS Corinthians beat Marlow Grand Dukes 4-0, with 2 goals piece for Dave Rogers and Jon McKinley

Easter Sunday saw the two teams battle it out in the Over 60's Cup game

After a goalless first half, where Corinthians were restricted in the main to long range shooting, and chances were scarce for Spartans, Ken O'Keeffe put Mike Gingell through to score the first goal after 55 minutes. With 20 minutes to go, substitute Russell Thomas came on for his first appearance since the opening game of the season, and minutes later set up Mark Polloway to score the equaliser.

I never knew what these were for!

Chris Harben saves two penalties in the Cup shoot-out at Chinnor as HS Athletic go through to the semi-finals 2-4 on penalties.

Just in - despite these stalwarts, England 70's go down 3-0 to Sheffield 65's.

I am assuming this was before the game!

FB comes of age

Dave Hetherington, aka FB, aka Jaffa, makes a speech at this recent 70th birthday event

Dave Hetherington has become our first active 70 year old player. Having been with the club since we were formed, Dave has made 66 league and cup appearance since the 2016-17 season, plus countless friendlies. An uncompromising centre half, Dave also pocessess the ability to drive forward with the ball, leaving younger forwards chasing his tail. Having come through the ranks of Aston Villa FC, he now spends his playing time in the Oxfordshire Over 60's, with HS Spartans and is hoping to cement his place in the England Over 70's. Indeed a club legend, he received the Chairman's Award for 2024.
