GENERAL INFORMATION

2nd grade is a year of great JOY because it is the year of receiving Jesus through the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

Sacrament Preparation is a 2-year process, beginning with catechesis in 1st Grade. If your child has not completed 1st grade faith formation please contact Jo Scheller at jscheller@holysepulcher.org for options for your child.

• FIRST RECONCILIATION preparation is done in the fall and the sacrament is celebrated in mid-January. We use the Augustine Institute Signs of Grace series for onsite sessions and Dynamic Catholic series, BLESSED: Reconciliation, including the videos and textbooks, for family-centered programs.

• FIRST HOLY COMMUNION is celebrated in the spring, immediately after Easter. We use the Augustine Institute Signs of Grace series for onsite sessions and the Dynamic Catholic series, BLESSED: First Communion, including the videos and textbooks, to prepare through the spring.

Families participate in parent meetings for general information and then attend sacrament preparation days close to the actual sacrament date.
