Employment in arts and design occupations is projected to decline 4 percent from 2019 to 2029, losing about 32,900 jobs. However, arts and design workers also are employed in industries that are projected to decline, including publishing, manufacturing, and floral shops.
The median annual wage for arts and design occupations was $48,130 in May 2019, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $39,810.
