Makerspace

We learn best when we are actively participating by making and doing! In our library, K-5 students have makerspace time approximately once per month. During this time, students are learning critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, boosting their creativity, and building self-esteem while exploring new activities. Materials and activities include: Legos and other building materials, Osmo, drawing, origami, iPad apps, puppets, Ozobots, and more.

In addition, we try to combine read aloud books with maker activities as much as possible.

This (below) can also be accessed through our Destiny Discover Collections. Make "Full Screen" to see all of the resources.
