Marine Resource Governance Lab
Marine Resource Governance Lab
Marine Resource Governance Lab is located in National Taiwan Ocean University. We concentrate on studying and developing legal and policy solutions to address marine resource governance challenges.
"Safeguarding a just and equitable future in ocean governance requires a shift toward adaptable and sustainable legal and institutional framework."
Our lab's research underscores the urgent need to move beyond profit-driven approaches and toward adaptive marine laws and institutional frameworks capable of addressing the challenges posed by a rapidly changing future.
We focus on research projects related to marine policy and law particularly about the governance of area-based management tools (ABMTs), including marine protected areas (MPAs) and other effective area-based conservation measures (OECMs).By exploring the complexities of marine governance,we aim to contribute to the development of resilient and equitable solutions for ocean sustainability.
We invite motivated researchers and learners passionate about ocean law, policy development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to join us in shaping a sustainable future for the oceans.
