Volunteer Policy

Each family is required to provide 25 volunteer “points” to the school during the 2026/2027 school year. All volunteer commitments are to be completed in a single school year (July - June) unless special accommodations have been arranged with the principals.

Volunteer commitments performed at your parish that are not for school sponsored events will not be counted.

Volunteering is an essential component to our Catholic Identity because it represents "Love in Action"—embodying Christ's command to serve others.

Various opportunities come with assigned point values. Volunteer commitments are to be performed by the students’ caregivers if they have completed the security clearance, NOT by the student. See HSA tab on PCA website and handbook for descriptions of roles.

● For a cost of $2,500 paid by September 1st, you are able to buy your 25 points. Families choosing to opt-out are still encouraged to volunteer at school as their schedules allow. This is separate from the Family Partnership option.

● Lunch & Recess duties are no longer required, however each shift will earn you 5 points. This is still an excellent way to help out the school and your presence is needed.

● Other opportunities will be communicated throughout the school year and a point level will be assigned. All volunteer opportunities will be posted to the HSA SignUp Account. Please check regularly for new opportunities.

● Siblings are not permitted at any time while parents are volunteering.

A fine of $120 per point will be assessed for any unfulfilled volunteer points.
