Synopsis
I work at the intersection of computational and experimental biology. My background spans multi-omics, molecular and cell biology, transcriptional regulation, genome architecture, and immune signalling. My work studies transcription factors that contribute to development, cancer, and disease. My research interests include gene therapy approaches to target disease, as well as developing reproducible computational pipelines that lead to biomedical insight.
My research pipelines have been validated by multiple experimental studies and independently confirmed by colleagues in the field. These methods have been adopted by my trainees and collaborators, contributing to publications that continue to be used by the research community more than a decade after their initial release. Several projects have been highlighted in educational media and have attracted interest for commercialization.
In parallel with my research, I am committed to scientific and organizational service. I have taught and mentored students across multiple levels and served as a reviewer, editor, and committee member for journals, funding agencies, and university research bodies (see external links below).
I am motivated by opportunities to lead ambitious scientific projects and translational research that bridges the gap between academic discovery and real-world impact through industry partnerships.
