Dream in Green and Florida International University Eco-Build Competition
Dream in Green in partnership with FIU’s School of Architecture and Design will sponsor an architectural 3-D model competition to be evaluated by architecture students and professionals.
Guidelines:
Participate in this year’s Green Living activity that asks Green Teams to plan and design a scale drawing of an area reimagined with adaptations to climate change effects (see information in Guidebook).
Green Teams interested in competing will need to register here. (maximum 2 teams per school)
Teams will be paired up with FIU students to serve as mentors and help teams build their 3-D models and designs.
Special Prizes
Teams will present their 3-D models in March 2025. Top awards will be presented to best 3-D model creations and presentations. Prizes for teams will be given.
Dream in Green and Live Arts Miami have put together several opportunities to bring the Arts into the classroom through STEAM initiatives, artist workshops, performances, book requests, and more. Learn about all of the activities here.
Youth Environmental Alliance will offer a limited amount of free field trips during the 2024-2025 school year. Field trips will be in different locations in Broward, Palm Beach, & Miami Dade Counties and YEA will cover the cost of transportation. Each field trip will consist of an educational program and a habitat restoration experience. Click here for more information and how to apply.
UF/IFAS Extension offers field trips to their office, in which your students could receive presentations and engage in hands-on-workshops offered by different members of our staff. These also include tours of our educational groves, pollinator gardens, nursery, and even the research facility. Requests are served on a first come first serve basis.
