Bonus Activities
Community Involvement:
It is important for schools to nurture community partnerships in order to expose students to initiatives that are being done locally, regionally, as well as nationally, and internationally. This helps students to feel that they are part of a bigger movement and see why the curriculum skills and knowledge they are learning can be put towards real-life situations. These activities promote connections and increase appreciation for their community, teaching them how to become environmental stewards.
Guidelines:
Schools must submit application by specified deadline.
Documentation must be sent via email to alexandra@dreamingreen.org by deadlines outlined above in order to receive credit for participation in any given activity.
Schools can choose to participate in other activities that promote environmental education or create their own to involve their community. Contact Program Manager for approval before completing bonus activity. Please submit a short summary of activity and link to any social media created.
Schools are not required to complete any of these bonus activities. Green Teams are encouraged to participate in as many as the school would like to be involved in. Maximum points school could earn for bonus activities is 50.
