Video Comprehension Questions — The American Civil War (Grade 10)

1. Explain how the Civil War differently affected the economies of the North and the South. Give two specific examples mentioned in the video.
   
   

2. Describe one political change that resulted from the Union victory and explain why that change was important for the future of the United States.

3. The video says the end of slavery did not end racism and that Jim Crow laws followed. In your own words, summarize how social life and opportunities for African Americans changed (or did not change) after the war, and connect this to one later movement or development mentioned in the video.
