About Me
I am Jakiya Afrin, and I live in Bangladesh with my small, loving family. My name carries a meaning I try to live up to every day — Jakiya, someone morally clean and pure in heart, blessed with good character; and Afrin, praise to the Creator. These meanings quietly guide the way I try to show up in my work and in my life.
I completed my graduation and post-graduation at the University of Dhaka, and later pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM at the Bangladesh Institute of Management. Over the past decade, I have built my career across multinational corporations, NGOs, and private organizations, working closely with people, systems, and leadership at every level. What ten years in the field have taught me, above all, is this: continuous learning is not optional for growth — it is the foundation of it. Leadership, in particular, demands constant adaptability and an open, curious mind. This belief is what shapes my personal brand, From HR to Leadership, and it is also why I now dream of pursuing an international degree abroad to gain global exposure and bring that learning back home.
Away from work, I find peace in traveling, gardening, and reading — small rituals that ground me. Often, in the middle of a busy schedule, I pause to look up at the open sky. In that stillness, my heart feels larger than my days allow, and I am reminded of why I do what I do: for my family, for society, and for a life whose positive work quietly continues after I am gone.
