Hello!
My name is Ursula and I am an exchange student at Montclair State University for the academic year 2023/24. Originally, I am from Austria where I am studying at the University of Graz to get a teacher's degree in English and French.
This is my second time being abroad for a longer period of time. During High School I lived in France for six months and went to school there.
I love traveling (as you can see on the picture which was taken in Venice, Italy) and I am a huge bookworm. My favorite author is Sarah J. Maas.
In general, women earn 84 cents for every dollar a man makes. This means that women earn 16 cents less than men. But why do women earn less?
My human rights topic about the gender wage gap aims to educate students about what the gender wage gap is, what factors contribute to the gap, and what individuals as well as employers and politicians can do to minimize and finally eliminate this gap.
