Introduction
The Induction Programme for training Faculty & Academic Staff in Central and State Universities, Centrally Funded technical Institutions, and Degree & PG Degree colleges will familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted university teachers. It will orient them on various generic aspects of teaching learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching learning, and equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration.
Rationale of Faculty Induction Programme:
1. To sensitize and motivate the faculty to adopt learner centered approaches, ICT integrated learning and new pedagogic approaches to teaching- learning, assessment tools in higher education.
2. Implement curriculum reforms in the context of interdisciplinarity, multi-disciplinarily and applied approaches to knowledge.
3. Adopt flexible evaluation processes which are more scientific to evaluate multiple skills and competencies of students.
4. Promote four possible types of faculty development: personal (interpersonal skills, career development, and life planning issues); instructional (course design and development, instructional technology); organizational (ways to improve the institutional environment to better support teaching); and professional (ways to support faculty members so that they fulfil their multiple roles of teaching, research, and service)
5. To promote academic excellence, teaching innovation, research capabilities and leadership skills.
6. To improve the professional capability and performance of teachers to deliver effective and quality learning.
Savitribai Phule Pune University
The UGC-HRDC, SPPU so far has conducted 531 Refresher courses (covering 17795 teacher participants) 175 orientation programs (covering 6571 teacher participants), 17 Special Summer/Winter Schools (covering 964 teacher participants), 22 Faculty Development Programmes (covering 786 teacher participants), 14 Professional Development progrmmes (covering 380 participants), 2 Ph.D. Post Doctoral programmes (covering 52 participants) and 11 Principal/Academic Administrators Workshops (covering 454 participants) .
Equipped with the state of the art infrastructure the UGC-HRDC in 2018 was recognized as Faculty Development Centre by the MHRD under PMMMNMTT through which in 2018-2019 the Faculty Development Centre has conducted 30 Faculty Development Programmes (covering 989 participants), 4 Refresher Courses (covering 265 participants) and 4 Workshops (covering 113 participants).

In his academic life Dr Pritam has published 42 articles at National and International level. Also he is actively involve in administrative department by holding various position such as Member of BoS (Psychology) in Savitribai Phule Pune University. Not only that, he also has life membership in University Bodies and Professional Association and Also has two awards to his name.

He has translated three books from English to Marathi and written research papers on media and communication in national and international research journals.
His doctoral research is on Study of Hindi film Songs from 1950 to 2010 as a location of Popular Culture in India. She completed three research projects funded by NCERT and MSCW and Authored two study material one titled ‘Evaluation in Education’ and second material titled ‘Current Trends in Education ’for (Symbiosis Centre For Distance Learning) Workshops / Seminars / Conferences Attended national -International: 60 Papers Presented in national -International conference: 20 Papers Published national -International journals: 15 papers Madam worked in different committee like Academic Audit team, Board of Studies , Moderation Committee ,Flying Squad , Local Inquiry ,Staff Selection Committee, and Examination related work at Institute / University. She worked as Visiting Faculty and Invited as Resource Person, some of listed, At D.A.V. Velankar College of Commerce, Solapur for a One Day National Seminar, Contributed as a speaker in a panel discussion titled ‘Values and Vision’ in Virtual National Conference, Contributed as a speaker in the panel discussion of the International Education Virtual etc.
Todays third guest is Dr. Surendra Herkal, he is Currently working as a Principal of MIT Saint Dnyaneshwar B.Ed. College, Alandi(D), Pune. He is a researcher, teacher and teacher educator for last 14 years. He is awarded with D.Litt. (Doctor of Letters) by University of South America in March 2018. He has a doctoral degree in Educational Evaluation from University of Pune. On his credit he has 2 Shikshan Ratna, 3 Ideal Teacher Awards and State Level Best Principal Award. He have highest API of 634 on his credit. He has 32 research papers presented in the State, National and International Seminars and published 49 research papers in national and international Journals with ISSN/ISBN. Under his guidance 24 Students has completed their research work at M.Ed. level. He is worked in various committee of SPPU, YCMOU. IGNOU, Tilak Maharashtra University . He has written 4 Books. 1. Marathi language teaching methodology 2. Hindi language teaching methodology 3. Language Across the Curriculum 4. Good morning and a warm welcome to everyone on the 21th day of the FIP Conducted by savitribai phule pune university hrdc ugc centre.
It’s a great pleasure for me to introduce our speaker today Dr. G. Mahesh, who is going to talk to us about “Writing a Research Paper ”. This is a subject in which we should all be deeply interested as it’s essential for us to know about research paper writing.
Dr. G. Mahesh is a Senior Principal Scientist with the Science Communication and Dissemination Directorate at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Previously, Sir was Head of the Information Resources and Media Division at Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research– National Institute Of Science Communication and Information Resources(CSIR–NISCAIR)
Mahest Sir is also a Professor at the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) where he teaches S&T communication and Sir has published numerous research papers in national and international journals
In the past, Sir was also the Project Leader of the National Knowledge Resource Consortium, a mega-project that facilitated access to S&T information resources in the Council of Scientific And Industrial Research(CSIR) and DST labs.
Sir was also the National Focal Point Coordinator of the SAARC Documentation Centre.
Sir was a Fellow of the Society for Information Science, as well as fellow of International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions –Action for development through libraries Programme (IFLA-ALP Fellow) and Sir has also served a stint at the Edinburgh University as a Commonwealth Professional Fellow.
Sir is currently the Editor of Annals of Library and Information Studies and Editor-in-Chief of COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management

I am highly honored and feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to welcome our keynote speaker Vishal Katariya sir, owner of the Law firm, :Katariya and associates. He completed his LLB from University of Pune and double LLM from University of Bristol, UK and Franklin Pierce Law Centre, USA He was Chair Professor for Intellectual Property Rights at the Prestigious University of Pune. He was the first appointee to the CSIR -IPR Chair and the youngest for any Chair in the country. He was awarded the coveted DFID Scholarship by British Government in recognition for his outstanding academic achievements. He worked in the Atlanta office of Holland and Knight LLP, one of the top most law firms in the US. Today Sir will talk about "IPR and Patenting".

Sir you explained nicely it from a lot of kisses of frogs to a product of human, also you say king of IPR is product and IP1 to IP5. You explained in detail trademark is work , design, logo, picture or sign of business or organization. Also, you focus light on generic trademark, unconvential Trademark , also how shape is not a trademark but color and sound are trademark. You elaborated copy right which original work, but titles , names ,slogans are not copy right. You briefly said the patent which is grant by state or country for inventor for fixed time and what is needed for filing patent and non- patentable fields and limitations of patent rights. Thank you, sir, for sharing these beautiful thoughts and I believe this is useful to we teacher to transform as being effective teacher as researcher, who know how to use the IPR and Patent in our profession. Sir is Presently working as Librarian and Head, at Jaykar Library Savitribai Phule Pune University Pune. Sir has completed Master of Library & Information Science and PhD. Sir has guided 4 PhD and 30 M.Phil. Students. Sir has published 45 research papers and more than 65 conferences attended in national and international level.
