Law Enforcement Cadets (recently known as Exploring) is a hands-on career exploration program for young men and women between the ages of 14-21 looking to go into or learn about the Law Enforcement field. We are a NON-PROFIT organization that partakes in community events and uses fundraisers to build our program.
When do we meet?: Are meetings generally are Sunday Nights, with the additional days known in advance to help at community events around Hudson
What This Program Offers:
Community Service Opportunities
Learning Everyday Life & Future Skills
Hands-on Learning Experiences
Chance to Ride Along With Hudson Officers
Team Environment/ Team Building
Leadership Opportunities
The program is run by our local Hudson Police Department and their officers who take the time to come to our meetings and teach us many different unique skills.
The Cadet program is hands-on learning. During our meetings, young adults will have the opportunity to participate in police-like scenarios that everyday law enforcement officers train for.
Cadets will get the opportunity to participate in State/National competitions in which they will demonstrate the skills they learn. Cadets compete against other posts within the State and the U.S. by going through different scenarios while being judged on their performances.
Cadets will be requested to help with community events that count for community service hours!
Tasks can range from setting up events to showing a presence to the community, and or helping direct traffic during these events.
A few of our most popular events are National Night Out, Hot Air Fair & Booster Days.
After the Cadets have been in the program for six months and have attended one state competition, they will have the opportunity to ride along with officers and see the day-to-day life of a police Officer.
