Teachers learn best from one another because the most professionally influential person to any teacher is another teacher.

The seminar begins with an orientation and introductory activities at 4pm Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) on Friday, October 20 and ends at 4pm MDT on Saturday, October 21. Please adjust the Seminar Schedule to match YOUR time zone.

Energized by the spirit of the National Great Teachers Movement (founded in 1969), GOTS is based on the powerfully simple philosophy that "properly facilitated shoptalk" is one of the highest forms of professional development. No individual "expert" of any stature or fame can match tapping into the collective knowledge, experience, wisdom, creativity, and genius of any group of teachers actively involved in their profession. 

Participants are the "experts" at the seminar, making GOTS a professional learning experience FOR YOU, BY YOU! 

Seminar staff will provide structure and guidelines to help ensure effective use of discussion time, but YOU and the other participants will decide which issues are most important and relevant to discuss. Together, we will pursue a quest for the ideal of the "great teacher."

EARLY GROUP RATE: $145/person for a team of SIX or more from the same institution. Please arrange with your institution to pay with a single check, money order, or credit card transaction for the team's total seminar fees. 

EARLY INDIVIDUAL RATE: $195/person

AFTER Wednesday, September 27, 2023, accepted as space permits.

REGULAR GROUP RATE: $245/person for a team of SIX or more from the same institution. Please arrange with your institution to pay with a single check, money order, or credit card transaction for the team's total seminar fees. 

REGULAR INDIVIDUAL RATE: $295/person

REFUND POLICY

If a registered participant must cancel, an alternate from the same institution may attend instead. If no alternate is available, a refund (minus a $95 administrative fee per person) is available upon notification of the Seminar Coordinator by Wednesday, October 11, 2023. NO REFUNDS AFTER THAT DATE.

PAYMENT

Group Registration: Each individual on a team must complete the online registration form to provide information we need to organize various seminar activities. Seminar fees for SIX or more registrants from the same institution must be paid in a single transaction via an electronic invoice sent to a designated institutional representative. The invoice includes options to pay by credit card or to send a check/money order by mail

Individual Registration: Within 48 hours of registering, you should receive an electronic invoice via email from Highroad Professional Development, LLC. The invoice includes options to pay by credit card using the secure, online payment system of Wave Financial or you can send a check/money order by mail.

NOTE about SPAM FILTERS: Normally, invoices should arrive within 48 hours of registering online. However, some spam filters may treat such emails as junk mail and block their delivery. Check the spam/junk mail folders of your email account; then if you have not received an electronic invoice within 2 business days after registering, please contact the Seminar Coordinator by email or phone.
