Hparara includes chat and content-sharing features. Information sent through private messages or uploaded as public content is stored and processed to provide the service.
Private chat messages are intended to be visible only to the participants of the conversation
Public posts, books, media, comments, and profile information may be visible to other users depending on the feature and privacy settings
We may review reported content or accounts to enforce community and safety rules
We use third-party cloud services, including Firebase, to operate the app. Data may be stored using:
Firebase Authentication for user sign-in and account management
Cloud Firestore for app data such as profiles, posts, comments, chat metadata, follows, and notifications
Firebase Storage for uploaded media such as profile photos, images, audio, video, and documents
These providers may process and store data on secure cloud infrastructure.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Public information such as usernames, pen names, profile photos, public posts, comments, books, and media may be visible to other users inside the app.

If a user deletes content or requests account deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to remove or anonymize associated personal data, except where retention is required for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or technical backup reasons.

Hparara is not intended for children under 13 years old, or under the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate legal consent. If we become aware that such information has been collected improperly, we will take steps to remove it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users share information at their own risk.

The app may rely on third-party services such as Firebase and may include links to external social profiles or websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services or websites not controlled by us.
Depending on the cloud infrastructure used by our service providers, user data may be processed or stored in countries outside the user’s country of residence. By using the app, users understand that such transfers may occur where permitted by law.
