In the beginning, Instagram was used to upload photos and videos but it’s all changed now. People are using it for texting, sharing photos, making reels, and many other things. This is why sometimes people think they are wasting too much time on Instagram, and they uninstall it. But uninstalling it doesn’t mean that you have lost the ability to connect with your friends. This is because Facebook recently came out with a feature using the Facebook Messenger app. In this way, people can still uninstall the app if they think they are not liking the app or wasting too much time on the app but can still message their friends.
How to Connect Facebook Messenger to Instagram:
In the Accounts Centre, you can either log in to Facebook or Instagram as per your choice. You can easily find the settings also in any of these apps. But for this blog, we have decided to explain using Facebook messenger to connect the Instagram account. It is very easy, and you shouldn’t face any problem if you have an Instagram account previously.
Firstly, open the Facebook Messenger app on your phone and then tap on your profile picture that is on the top left corner. This will open the app settings. After that, scroll down and find Account Settings.
Then, go to the Account settings page and go down to find the Accounts center. Click on the Accounts center to go forward.
This will open a login page where you need to enter your Instagram login id and password for authentication. And then link your account with Facebook Messenger.
Lastly, click on continue and tap, yes, to finish the setup.
This is all you have to do, and your Facebook and Instagram accounts will get linked together. Now all you have to do is find your Instagram friends in the messenger app by searching their username in the search bar. After doing so, when you click on the name, you will see the description that says “Instagram” to tell you the difference between the Instagram contacts from Facebook contacts.
Now, when you send a message from Facebook Messenger to Instagram. This will show up like a normal chat in the Instagram app. But it would be labeled as Facebook to distinguish it from other Instagram chats.
There is no problem in contacting someone on Instagram through Facebook messenger. The only thing we want to say is that if you are contacting someone for the first time. Then messages could straight go to the messages requests folder.
