I have a HP Elitebook 8440p that I recently upgraded to windows 10. I also did a bios update from F50 to F60. All hardware drivers are found and installed. There are no errors in the hardware management window and everything is peachy.

If I go to my network center and click the adapters, the wifi tile has a red cross and is not connected. When I click to connect, it sends me to the windows 10 network GUI with the wifi button. I tried to turn it on but it will not. It stubbornly refuses to turn on.

Thanks to both of you. Disabling LAN/WAN switching or changing the drivers does indeed work, but by the time we found that our manager was already returning them. We ended up getting two Folio 9480m laptops and a Folio 1040, which are all very nice. The Folio line definitely seems like a worthy successor to things like the 8440p, 8540p, etc.
