If the operating system does not detect the camera, you must first make sure that the camera drivers are installed. In addition, do not forget that manufacturers of webcams strongly recommend installing the latest drivers. If you do not have the CD and installation files for your webcam, first of all, try to find them on the manufacturer's official website. If you could not find them there, do not hesitate to download free webcam drivers from our website.

When your camera isn't working in Windows 11, it might be missing drivers after a recent update. It's also possible that your antivirus program is blocking the camera, your privacy settings don't allow camera access for some apps, or there's a problem with the app you want to use.

If there are no updates for your camera, try to select Advanced options > Optional updates, and look for any driver updates for your camera. Allow available updates to install, then restart your device when it's ready.

Restart your PC. If you haven't restarted your device since the camera stopped working, you should do so. Select Start  > Power  > Restart . Waking up your device from sleep isn't the same thing as a restart.

Test your camera with the Camera app. Select Start , then choose Camera from your apps. If you're asked to allow access to the Camera, select Yes. If the camera works in the Camera app, the problem might be with the app you're trying to use.

Some laptops and portable devices have a physical switch or button that turns the camera on or off. When it's turned off, your device may not recognize that there's a camera installed, or it may cause your camera to show an image of a camera with a slash through it. If your laptop has a switch or button, make sure it's in the on position before using your camera.

If you're having problems with an app that you did not install from Microsoft Store, make sure that Let desktop apps access your camera is turned on. You can't turn off camera access for individual desktop apps. Internet browsers, like Microsoft Edge, and many video conferencing apps, like Microsoft Teams, are desktop apps that require this setting to be turned on.

Most available USB webcams are UVC (standard USB Video Class) compatible cameras. They will work with the UVC driver that is included in Windows (the in-box UVC driver). If your webcam is not working correctly, swapping to the in-box UVC driver may resolve the issue. Please follow the steps below to change drivers (admin rights are required).

To let your device access the camera, select Start , then select Settings > Privacy > Camera . In Allow access to the camera on this device, if Camera access for this device is turned off, select Change and turn on Camera access for this device.

After allowing access to the camera, go to Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your camera and turn on camera access for the apps you want. Only apps installed from the Microsoft Store will show in this list.

If you installed the app from the internet, a disc, a USB drive, or your IT administrator installed the app for you, it might not be a Microsoft Store app. To check, go to Allow desktop apps to access your camera and make sure it's turned on. I have read alot of discussion concering the issue of the IMAQ usb driver compatibilty and im still searching for a solution for my problem. Iam using labview 2011 on windows 7 and im trying to use a usb webcam in my labview program and it requires to install the IMAQ US camera driver but im having problems having the palletes for usb camera. I have installed the latest version for the vision aquisition software and i installed the usb driver found on this link ... plz can anyone help me with this problem?

I believe the best solution is to abandon the old IMAQ USB driver and replace the functions with ne IMAQdx ones.I did it on my computer and it works fine. The only change is that in my version you have to select a camera manually:

Managed to install and configure the IP Camera (fixed, with H264) Driver (dated 12/18/2014) and am able to get the rtsp stream displaying on Apple IOS Control4 UI for each camera My camera does not support Snapshot URL or HTTP MJPEG Stream - only support RTSP.

However when you use the UI to navigate from Security-->Camera there is a grid of all the cameras but all with a waiting circle spinning round and round. Is there anyway to configure this so that it uses the RTSP stream?

I'm using this generic IP driver for a Bosch Flexidome Camera at a client's house, and I've got the camera working fine, however the snapshot isn't working for the thumbnail when I'm in the cameras page. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or if it is possible? Thanks in advance.

Can someone clarify what is the recommended approach for adding additional camera support to TX2 NX besides the few IMX sensors that are built in the kernel? Specifically, should I use LKM, kernel overlay with or without jetson-io tool, full kernel build from source, patch files, etc.? I see many different approaches on the forums and documentation but no tutorials from beginning to end and I am missing something. This seems like a topic that would benefit many people as cameras are constantly changing and computer vision is fundamental to the reason the Jetson platform is so popular.

I actually had to add obj-$(CONFIG_VIDEO_AR1335) += ar1335.o to the Makefile, not Kconfig in that folder but that definitely fixed some of my issues. I finally got some ar1335.c and .h file errors (meaning it was building the driver) after adding that to the Makefile and running make -C kernel/kernel-4.9/ ARCH=arm64 O=$KERNEL_OUT CROSS_COMPILE=${CROSS_COMPILE} -j8 modules. I followed this with the rest of the build, flash, and moved .dtb, Image, and lib/modules over to the Jetson.

I even flashed the original Install.wim to the Windows partition using DISM but at startup the two unknown devices still showed. I also tried installing the drivers using Double Driver and still no luck. Oh BTW, my Hi10 Pro was set up to boot only to Windows.

There is a problem with the official driver download

[Hi10 Pro] [Official Version] Chuwi Hi10 Pro Windows, Android, Bios, Driver, tutorial Download? Its camera driver is for the wrong hardware and its touchscreen driver is for the wrong version.

I work at a school and have 30+ Surface Pro 7+. As best we can tell "ALL" of them have non-functioning camera due to driver issues. They were all re-imaged this summer W11 22H2 and latest driver packs. Now the camera is offline in Device Manager. Any ideas? ff782bc1db
