The New England Patriots will travel to the Meadowlands this weekend, looking to complete a three-game sweep of the NFC East, in their preseason finale with the New York Giants.

The last few games have been kind to the Patriots, who were able to pull away from the Washington Football Team in week one by a score of 22-13, before absolutely trouncing the Philadelphia Eagles by way of a 35-0 rout last Thursday. Now they head to Bill Belichick’s old stomping grounds, accompanied by old friend Joe Judge and his team who spent the last week in New England practicing with the Patriots. Close quarters can breed resentment, much like it did with Cam Newton and K’Von Wallace last week, making this tilt a touch more intriguing.

The New York Giants (0-2) continue their preseason slate Sunday evening when they welcome the New England Patriots (2-0) to town (6 p.m. ET, NBC-4 NY TV/NFL Network).

The Giants and Patriots held joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday at the Patriots’ practice facilities in Foxborough, MA.

Giants cornerback Adoree’ Jackson suffered a sprained ankle in Wednesday’s joint practice. Meanwhile, tight end Kyle Rudolph was activated from the PUP list. Saquon Barkley practiced in live team drills for the first time on Thursday. Barkley, Rudolph and Kenny Golladay will be among the starters not playing on Sunday.

Quarterback Daniel Jones and the Giants’ remaining healthy starters are expected to play the entire first half, and perhaps see action into the third quarter.

Chris Pflum and Joe DeLeone will be co-hosting a post-game live stream on the Big Blue View YouTube channel. Stop in for that.

The New York Giants host the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium for their last 2021 NFL preseason game on Sunday, August 29 (8/29/2021).

The game will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. ET on the NFL Network, or locally on CBS, NBC, FOX and other affiliates that vary by market (guide below). The game can be streamed live on fuboTV, AT&T TV and other live TV streaming services.

The Giants are coming off back-to-back preseason losses, and while it doesn’t hurt their chances for the season, New York will surely be looking to close out the exhibition period with a win over the Patriots to boost fan and team confidence. The Giants lost 17-13 to Cleveland last weekend, resting most of their starters and letting the reserve squad get some time on the field.
