9/20/2022 - We started our PBL project on how to shoot Low Key Photography, and started researching techniques.
9/21/2022 - We researched the history of Low Key Photography and how it came to be.
9/23/2022 - We gathered the materials, such as camera, tripod, speed light, and our background.
9/29/2022 - We started taking our first Low Key pictures with our club members.
10/10/2021 - We took more and more pictures, perfecting our technique, and tweaking our set up and settings as we went..
10/12/2022 - We learned about the low key materials, Camera, Tripod Light source (either natural or artificial, Black or dark grey background
11/7/2021 - We learned about how to edit photos in adobe lightroom
11/13/2022 - We did some experiment, Light can make or break your photograph. A light directly in front of your subject’s face is not low key. You can try to experiment with side lighting, Rembrandt lighting, light modifier or any other type of lighting to add depth and drama to your photos.
11/21/2022 - We also learned how to edit photos in adobe photoshop. Photoshop is one of the most famous tools for photo editing, and you can achieve a lot by using it in post-production.
11/29/2022 - We also learned how to edit photos in adobe photoshop. if you’re not satisfied with the background in your low key shot and some unnecessary light shines through the darkness, you can easily set this by using the adjustment brush tool and darkening the levels. Photoshop gives you a lot of options to edit the depth of field, contrast and shadows to add even more drama to your low key pictures.
11/30/2022 - We learned how to Play With The Colors If your image contains both cool and warm tones, you can play with the colors by using the HSL panel in Lightroom. Feel free to shift the colors and create a bold and playful contrast between cool and warm parts of your image.
12/5/2022 We learned how toFix Backdrop Pleats Or Wrinkles If you’re shooting in a studio, you probably want your black background to be impeccable and wrinkle-free. In order to achieve such a uniform background, you will need to adjust the Shadows and Blacks sliders until you get a wrinkle-free black background. Bear in mind that these two are global adjustments and that they will affect the subject too – you might need to use the Adjustment Brush to bring back some details.
12/11/2022 After taking many pictures, we loaded them all into Lightroom and started the editing process, we fixed shadows, birghtness, and other errors that may were found in our pictures.
12/11/2022 The code for our program was finalized and tested to ensure that it worked as we wanted. Once we confirmed that it did, we officially marked the coding segment of the project as complete and began finishing our remaining website pages.
12/11/2022We completed the investigation questions for the project, using the knowledge we had gained throughout to provide insight for what we had done and how what we learned could be used in other situations or scenarios.
12/11/2022 We recorded a video of our project in action, showing one of us demonstrating how the hand detection software worked and how it could be used to play the dinosaur game.
12/11/2022 Afterwards, a video editing software was used to create a voiceover using that provided a brief explanation of what was occurring in the video.. The video was then uploaded onto our website to act as a visual media for the PBL and something for site visitors to interact with.
12/11/2022 We used Canva to create a brochure that introduced our project in a simplistic way that also provided a QR code to the website. A basic brochure template was chosen, but we altered the color scheme and pictures into something that was more in line with our project.
12/11/2022 Then we put in information that briefly introduced our project and its function in a way that was digestible and concise.
1/1/2023 We altered aesthetic choices in both the website and brochure, while also making sure every requirement was met in both.
1/6.2023 We finalized and submitted our project
