With St. Patrick’s Day falling on March 17, several celebrations are happening throughout the weekend. From bar crawls to themed events, students looking for something social can find plenty of options around DC. These events offer a fun way to explore different neighborhoods and spend time with friends.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival begins on March 20, marking the start of one of the most popular times of year in Washington DC. The festival includes performances, outdoor events, and activities around the city. It is also one of the best opportunities to explore DC and enjoy the start of spring.
As the weather warms up, the National Mall and Tidal Basin become popular spots for students looking to relax or take photos. Even before peak bloom, this area offers a peaceful place to walk, study, or spend time outdoors.
Whether you are attending a St. Patrick’s Day event, preparing for cherry blossom season, or simply exploring the city, the week of March 14 to March 20 offers plenty of ways for students to get off campus and enjoy Washington DC.
