When the library feels too packed and your dorm gets distracting, sometimes you just need a change of scenery. Luckily, Howard students are surrounded by coffee shops that are perfect for locking in, meeting up for group projects, or just romanticizing your study session a little. If you’re looking for a new go-to spot near campus, start here.
A cozy neighborhood favorite with strong coffee and a relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can sit for a few hours with your laptop and not feel rushed. Great for solo study days when you really need to focus.
Spacious and laid-back, this spot is ideal for longer study sessions. There’s plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels productive without being too quiet or too loud. This cafe has a good balance for getting work done.
Known for its aesthetic interior and good food options, Tatte is perfect for those longer study blocks when you’ll need both coffee and a snack. While this cafe is a bit of a distance, it’s a solid choice for productive afternoons off campus.
