As teams, we learnt the importance of communication and working together, as each country had a different responsibility to help grow and sustain their communities as a whole.

We learned how difficult it is to communicate without a language, how easy it is to misunderstand each other. We explored new ways of communication and thought of solutions to communicate without spoken or written language either using ICT or not. We found out that we have a common understanding of emoji icons. We discovered that it is possible to create a new language using symbols, gestures, emoji icons...

The students experienced that is is possible to communicate without using a spoken language and that we already use that possibility in our everyday life through signs. Eventhough you don´t speak the same language, you can understand the same signs.

This was one of the stronger sessions for our group. They did a great job in empathising with hypothetical newcomers and did their best to try to figure out how to make their integration experiences less difficult.
