The issue I am having is really simple. I have a video in my Google Drive and I can't simply save it to my camera roll. All I can do is save it to the "Files" folder, and that's it, I can't go any further. No "Save Video" option is available anywhere. The video is totally openable and reproduceable without any issues.

I also tried using Google Photos, and I do get the option to save it, but after several tries I only get a "Trouble saving. Try again later" message. Is not a matter of the file, it doesn't have anything in particular, just a plain mp4 video of 180mb. I have other files in my "File" folder and same, I can't save them to the camera roll.

EDIT 2: Tried exporting using different settings and it worked! Hooray!!! I had that feeling in the back of my mind the whole time I was googling I was just was too focused on saving it to my camera roll to try it again. Appreciate all the responses you guys helped me narrow it down!

go into settings > privacy > photos on the ipad and make sure you have allowed access for the ixpand sync app. When you first install the app it will ask if you want to give permission to access your photos. You may have hit no with will case the failed camera roll sync.

Bear in mind that in transferring photos, etc. from your phone or iPad to the iXpand drive, it uses your available memory on the phone or iPad, just as your computer uses the available RAM it has when copying for transfer to another place, or drive.

You can check how many pictures are actually stored locally on your iOS device by turning off iCloud photo library. Once it is turned off give it several mins to fully desync the connection and then look at the native photos app under albums. You should not see an album named camera roll instead of all photos. Her it should tell you how many pictures you have stored locally on the iOS device.

The camera roll on your device only backups to Microsoft OneDrive - it does not sync photos both ways. That means you can delete backed up photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won't be affected.

If your camera backup is taking too long to set up or look for photos, without giving any error message, it could be because you have too many photos in your camera roll, or that you are out of storage space. Read What does it mean when your OneDrive account is frozen?

I recently noticed that I can go into the camera roll and one by one add the pictures I want to iCloud drive. What I don't understand though, is if they, after this, are saved there in a way that makes it completely safe for me to delete them from my camera roll (on my iPhone 6), without also losing them from iCloud drive. From what I have found online (online forums etc), this is not possible for "regular" iCloud, however I think all the threads I found were a bit old. An example of a thread I found: =0&tstart=0 I could not find any answers concerning iCloud drive.

Note that I do not allow for my pictures to be automatically uploaded to iCloud/iCloud drive; they are only saved in my camera roll. If iCloud drive can work as its own storage, then I will choose which pictures I want to go there, and then delete them from my phone to free up some much needed space.

ALL of the pictures I took, THOUSANDS, are gone! Just out of no where!! I don't know how to fix it, I restarted my device, i don't know what else to do! All those pictures I had are gone... even gone on one drive.. why?! How do I fix it?! I NEED those pictures! When I go to camera and try to enter my camera roll, it says there's no pictures... I didn't do anything, it isn't in trash, NOTHING!

I checked and they're no where to be found... I don't know how in the world they were deleted yesterday because even though I was a bit loopy from anesthesia yesterday, I was still there enough to not accideny clear my whole camera roll

Well, I just spoke to WD support. There is no download pictures to Camera rolls function. The download function is for you to download to their app where you can see your pictures while disconnected from your hard drive! I am very disappointed with this iPad app. The very basic function of downloading to camera roll is not provided is ridiculous!

It is impossible to download photos directly to the iPad camera roll from the WD Wireless app. However, WD could add this ability to the app. Most of my other photo apps allow direct download to the camera roll.

To set up Camera Sync, select "Camera Sync" from the iXpand Sync menu and toggle the Automatic Sync switch to the 'on' position. The initial sync may take several minutes depending on the number of photos and videos being copied. Please ensure the iXpand battery is charged above 80% for a large initial sync. Following the initial sync each subsequent time the iXpand drive is connected to your iPhone or iPad newly captured photos and/or videos will automatically sync to the iXpand Flash Drive.

Manual Copy of photos and videos can be performed by tapping the Plus ( + ) button on the home screen. Upon tapping the Plus button you will be prompted to select photos and videos from your camera roll to copy. Once the desired files are selected you will be prompted to select a destination folder on the iXpand. To complete the copy simply tap the "copy here" button and the file(s) will be copied to your iXpand Flash Drive.

got new desktop with same issue in windows 10. i "cut" the 'camera roll' and 'saved pictures' folders then "pasted" them into a removable flash drive - it seems to work (they did reappear when system updated to windows 10 creators). i repeated the cut/paste and restarted - so far so good - no camera roll and saved pictures folders

The photos I take with my phone are now saved in 2 places and they are therefore being duplicated. They are being saved in the "Camera roll" folder and in the "Samsung Gallery/DCIM/Camera" folder path.

This is obviously not what I want. I want just the "Samsung Gallery/DCIM/Camera" folder path because the "Camera roll" folder does not act as a 2 way sync. Meaning that if I delete something from "Samsung Gallery/DCIM/Camera" folder path, the photos are also deleted on my phone, but if I delete something from "Camera roll", it's not being deleted from my phone or from "Samsung Gallery/DCIM/Camera" folder path.

I have checked everywhere I can and I found a similar thread which is now closed:

I then disconnected the sync from the Samsung Gallery app and emptied the "Camera roll" folder in the OneDrive Pictures folder on my computer. I also turned the option off for "Media storage" from the "Settings app>Accounts and backup>Manage accounts>OneDrive>Sync account>Media Storage = Off".

This has discontinued my sync with the "Camera roll" folder on my PC's OneDrive and has only left the "Samsung Gallery>DCIM" folder in my OneDrive and now only 1 folder is syncing (both ways!!)

It took me quite a bit to figure it out but it works!

As mentioned above, there are plenty of reasons for the OneDrive sync problem. Here we have listed 5 methods to fix OneDrive not syncing your pictures. If you are experiencing OneDrive camera roll not syncing for iPhone or Android, check out these solutions to accommodate all your OneDrive sync problems.

Turn Camera upload off, rename your camera roll folder, then turn Camera upload on. This is aimed to re-upload your pictures to OneDrive cloud when the program is on.

If you still have the problem of OneDrive camera roll not working issue, you can try to remove the app from your device and reinstall it or update it. To get your problem solved, it would be better to reinstall it at the Play Store. To do this:

When you get your camera roll upload a great number of photos at one time, backup photos to OneDrive may take a long time, but without any error message. When this happens, we suggest you reduce the backed-up quantity of pictures for a time.

In addition to the problems mentioned above, there would be some unexpected statuses of photos that bring about the OneDrive camera roll not syncing for Android or iPhone. Please check the following situation:

Microsoft OneDrive provides 5GB of free storage. When you upload too many files to your cloud drive, the storage space will fill up. When the remaining space of the OneDrive cloud is insufficient to store all camera rolls you are uploading, OneDrive may stop working on your phone. Please free some space in your cloud or upgrade your plan. Here is how to check your OneDrive storage: Open OneDrive > tap the Profile picture.

When OneDrive not syncing the camera roll on a computer, you can try to unlink this PC from OneDrive and relink it back. Click OneDrive Settings. In the Account tab, click Unlink this PC to unlink the account from the PC.

If the foregoing solution cannot fix the "OneDrive camera roll not syncing" problem, you can use CBackup to sync your camera roll with OneDrive for free. This is a professional cloud backup and sync service that allows you to sync local data to cloud drives like OneDrive for free. It has no file count or size limits and will not limit your file upload speed.

4. Select the camera roll that you want to sync to OneDrive, then choose a OneDrive folder as the destination. Finally, tap on Start Sync to sync the selected files to OneDrive.

If all the above solutions fail to resolve your OneDrive camera roll not syncing issue, you can also ask the OneDrive support team for help. If you do have an interest in obtaining large storage space for free, have a go at CBackup.

Hi there for some reason when I go to add a photo from my mobile camera roll, the Lightroom app lets me press add but the picture doesn't appear in the Lightroom app under all photos so I can't edit it. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you used the phone's camera app, check the Lightroom settings to see if "Auto Add Photos/Videos" is enabled, if it is any such phone pictures should already have been added to All Photos. If it's not enabled, then when you opt to add photos from the camera roll they should be listed and available to select. ff782bc1db
