You can no longer take a walk with Chop on the PS5 version, which would make the in-game 100% impossible. There is a work-around by saving the game with Michael or Trevor and then switching to Franklin. On a rare occasion he has Chop with him and you can play fetch ball.
You can still get it after you completed all the missions. There is a scene where Franklin plays with Chop in his new house at the pool. How? Sleep with Michael and wait until19:20, make a quick save and switch to Franklin between 19:20-19:30, you will eventually get the scene. Got it on my first try with this method!If you aren't lucky just reload and try again.

Also, as an update. There's a report that the method with switching characters only works until a certain point in the story and isnt possible after finishing the story or even earlier in the story anymore.
I tried interacting with the dog as soon as I could just after Lamar told me Chop was at my house but you can't do anything. So this really is bugged and highly missable if you don't do it during the story.
This switch scene is only available after the mission Father/Son and if you haven't completed The Hotel Assassination. So if you've completed The Hotel Assassination, this seems like it is impossible.
Does anyone know if a workaround for this is to transfer a PS4 save file where walking and playing fetch with chop is already done to PS5? I just got the PS5 version since it was on sale and I was going to play the single-player from scratch vs. uploading a PS4 file but I don't want to go through all the effort if the chop issue exists. I've played up to and completed Father/Son and have Chop hanging around the backyard, but indeed the option to play fetch is gone, and I've just spent 45 minutes trying various times of day switching to Franklin hoping for the animation to come where if you switch to Franklin, he's playing with Chop, but haven't gotten it.
It seems people are starting to find workarounds, but I did decide to do this method to get the trophies and it does work if you have a PS4 save file. I just uploaded my 100% game from PS4 and loaded it to PS5 it popped all the trophies, including the 100% complete. I'll just go back to my normal save to do the game proper, but just don't have to deal with constant saves/reloads (though I guess I could have done this as a fallback option after completing the game but wasn't going to do all that work just in case somehow this bug broke this method somehow). 152ee80cbc
