You have made the first step. Next step is to press the Start/Stop button on lower right of the unit. This is a physical button, not on the touch screen. Press the same button to pause/stop the activity. An option to save or discard the ride will then pop up on the screen.

i've just been out for a big ride, have saved the ride to Garmin Connect, synced it to Strava only to then realise that I had the Garmin on indoor mode (idiot!), so no segments are coming up on Strava.

How To Download Ride With Gps To Garmin 830

Download Zip 🔥 https://urlca.com/2y4I3Q 🔥

Interesting that it didn't get sent to Strava with the map considering you say its showing up on GC. Leads me to think that it wasn't recorded on indoor mode as GPS would be switched off in that mode.

I did a ride today which I wanted to upload to tmy Garmin Connect account online. When I rode I didn't have my iPhone with me so when I got home I opened Garmin Connect on my iPhone and confirmed that it was connected to my Edge 1030. Then I went to History > Rides > Today's Ride and then used the option Upload. Uploading Ride spun for awhile and then it said Upload Failed. Tried it several times and the upload always fails.

Connect your Edge via USB to your computer then look for the file in the folder "GARMIN\NEWFILES." Your ride should be in there. Zip the file then send it as an attachment to this thread. Then we can take a look at it and see what could be wrong. Alternatively, you can try to fix it yourself using fitfiletools.com

Go to Garmin Devices and then click on whatever Garmin you have connected. Then click general and then WiFi networks. Once you are there you can connect it to you hot spot which allowed it to upload my ride.

Latest version doesn't load on Garmin Edge 1000. When connecting to phone to access data/maps/content it then asks to "Please go to rwgps.com/iq to pair device with account . . . giving a code to enter." I have done this multiple times, it loads as if to be connected to your RideWithGPS account, then gives the exclamation point IQ error page, asking you again to re-link your accounts. If there is a way to download the past version, I would appreciate that. As it is now, I have to create a route, then d/l to .fit, then upload to Garmin. Not bad, just an extra step.

Used to work great. Now choosing download and ride crashes the app on the Edge 1040. Using the download only option fails to add the route to the Edge 1040. I suspect that Connect IQ was updated by Garmin, causing an incompatibility. Please update this formerly useful app.

Something happened in the last year as current reviews are consistent with my experience. Difficulty connecting and when it does connect all I get is a http 2 error. Once I got a partial list of courses but only 1 screens worth so not the ride I needed lower down the listTerrible and I am going to have to remove it. (Tried reinstalling and re-pairing etc already btw)

The developer of this app will receive an email with the request you enter below. Your own email-address won't be exposed to the developer, but you can add it if you wish to get directly contacted by the developer.

I did find that however there is no reading during a ride. I assume it is because I have no power meter on the bike. Although TP allocates a heart rate TSS to a ride without a power meter it looks like Garmin does not. Did a 3 and a half hour ride yesterday nothing appeared in the TSS screen and TP allocated a TSS of 166 but no way to track it during ride

If I watch my ride details in the Companion app before I open my Garmin to sync than I always have to manually insert the fit file in Garmin. It is a bug that is here for at least 1 year, but (as far as I know) never has been taken care off by ZHQ.

I did a huge ride today tracking it on my 1040 Solar. I went to a brewery at the end of the ride and pressed the stop button to pause the ride. I spent about an hour or so there. When I got back to my 1040 Solar, the power was off and when I turned it on, my ride that I has stopped was no longer being tracked. It was as if I had just turned the device on to go for my next ride.

My questions is there some sort of time limit you can have the activity on pause? What happened to my activity? I plugged the device into my computer and looked at the activities and all that is there is a ride from yesterday, nothing from today.

As for other devices, the company at CES said they had two other companies already lined up to support it, and were also talking with Wahoo as well about ways they could have the platform supported there too.

I think this does show to some degree just how powerful Connect IQ is for smaller companies that want to integrate on larger device platforms, since it takes no approval or such from Garmin. They just act like any of thousands of other Connect IQ apps. On the flip-side, a more native integration with a company like Wahoo could lend itself to a more streamlined experience for the user. Pros and cons of both approaches as always.

Thank you for these suggestions Neil! We will certainly add pre-exercise nutrition on short term, as a step-wise approach. We for now assume you ate a decent pre-exercise meal (not too much not too litlle) and we tested this approach with over a 100 riders who filled in their nutrition to validate our scientific findings in reality, knowing this is not a solid final approach. Its just too much to manage all at once so we need some extra time.

I will wait for the promised PEZ collabo bar end dispenser with the epo gummi bears and

handle bar mount stropwaffle dispenser. I do think the ant+ camelbak

is a bit much, I will determine when to drink.

I have a suggestion for additional functionality: integrate this with a worldwide map showing all applepie outlets, including a quality rating of these pies. My friends & I would love it because we are always cruising on apple pie calories (and always curious about new good outlets).

We are indeed adding the climb vs descent planning where nutrition can hardly be taken during descent and should be fluid during climbs. Challenging on a ride like the Marmotte with hardly a flat km (speaking from own experiences). The trainings are also taken into account, but this still needs more testing.

After reading this I enrolled onto the Beta programme and did my first ride with it. It was interesting to get prompts for food in take and trying to stick with it. The timing was different to when I would have consumed without guidance but not sure if it was any better.

We learned many users filled in low HR threshold point where they did ride for >3 hours on average above this value. This led to issues which we now solved. We updated our system so such thresholds are now adjusted to normal levels.

Also Torq products have been added!

Full disclaimer, my bad for posting in this thread, got distracted on which page I was hitting submit for! But I think both of these pieces of tech are interrelated. Below is a link to the page this post was meant for. I will cross post there, sorry there was not a delete post feature that I saw. The holy grail would be fusion of water/hydration and sports nutrition intake tracking on the go to make sure you can compare performance output over time with endurance athletes! link to dcrainmaker.com

Really really unhappy about this. Horseback riding is one of my most regular sports. When I ride in the school, my heart rate increases similarly to  run. Its almost like they're not recognising tous as sport. I understand removing motorbikes, but clearly they have not understood the physical demande of this activity. Not happy at all.

Last year we got the ability to fuel the workload on the Garmin Connect with Sufferfest / SYSTM . RGT was left out of that update, is it possible now to include the training-workload of RGT into the Garmin Connect?

I would also appreciate if RGT rides contribute to Garmin Load and Garmin Traning Status just like the Systm workouts do. I suppose that this fuctionality must be arranged between Wahoo AND Garmin. And the question is whether Garmin wants to extend support for RGT platform (or any other platform in general).

I just want to walk in from my ride, have a shower, have breakfast and see my ride stats straight away in my iPad or PC. In other words, I don't want to touch the device until the battery is about to run out. I don't want to plug in my device to anything either (usb, etc).

I know the Edge 500 cannot do this automatically as it does not have Bluetooth or Wifi, but it can connect without cables to the Cadence Sensor, etc. So why can't there be a hack or something to be able to "force" it to download the FIT file once within range of your internet at home?

The reason I ask this here is because I usually ride with my partners very early in the morning, and when I come home I have a lot to do before I go to work - have breakfast, get ready, kids to school, etc. By the time I get to work, and if I have time, I then upload the ride's stats into Strava usually around noon. By then it's "too late" as my ride buddies have already given Kudos to each other and I hardly get any, plus the ones I do get are days later from other people I don't even ride with. I know this sounds egoistic, but that's beside the point of the question and subjective to each one's needs of why we ride, etc.

I personally use a Garmin Edge 810 which can connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone and then automatically upload rides to Garmin Connect. The auto-transfer from Garmin Connect then allows your ride to appear in Strava almost immediately, however, this isn't without it's short-comings. e24fc04721
