Hello, although we have the sight setting in the GotoMeeting hub and pushed to record the conference, we had only audio in the converted file and BlackScreen. And no recording in the history of gotomeeting (Hub).

It sounds like the GoToMeeting broadcast may have experienced a disruption, defaulting the recording to your local HD. This may happen in some circumstances, but only when there's a connection problem. Please test your Cloud Recording capability again, and let us know if this is working currently. I'm afraid we don't keep any other copies of recordedings ourselves so the video from your meeting may be lost.

Are you specifically a member of GoToMeeting Business plan or higher? These are the only plan types that currently offer Cloud Recording functionality, which is required to record webcams (not available with desktop recording):

I have a similar problem, but I'm not recording to the cloud - I recorded locally, and during the conversion to .mp4 I could see the correct images on the video. When I converted, I get a black screen for the whole recording.

I recorded my meeting as always, it's a class with over 3 hours duration, i use the recording to upload the video on youtube but there's no audio on GoToMeeting's recording halfway through.

Multiple participants have spoken during the class and i could hear them all, they could hear each other. During the meeting there was no audio issue, so i don't get why there's no audio on the GoToMeeting's recording.

Is it possible to recover the missing audio? What can i do to avoid this in the future?

thanks for that report. It's been a while but we took a look and increased quality of the recordings. It should be part of one of the next releases of the GoTo App. Hopefully, this addresses your video quality issue

Audio should be part of the recording. Are you still experiencing issues with that?

Thank you for the video example (I removed the link after viewing it). We have been working on improving the recording quality for local recordings and hope to release an update soon once we have finished testing.

Thank you. I have been talking with the team today and the next update to the GoTo App should include improved image capture for local recordings. I was also told that when local recording is used currently telephone audio is not captured, so computer audio should be selected and used. There is meant to be a warning message displayed when you go to start recording and have Phone call selected in your GoTo Meeting Audio Settings.

GoToMeeting offers two ways to record your meetings, local and cloud recording. Local recording means you are recording directly to the computer and a local webm file is created. Cloud recording happens on our servers.

Cloud recording has some benefits: it captures shared webcams, auto transcribes your meeting, recordings can be shared with others via a link, and you can download a copy in MP4 format from your account. You can switch between local and cloud recording in your GoTo App Settings

I assume you are using GotoMeeting (the meeting product) and local recording (as opposed to cloud based recording, Glenn wrote how to reach these settings):

Can you tell us more about your audio setup? What Operating System are you using? What kind of audio device? Are you using Computer Audio or PSTN/Phone? Is it always reproducible?

I highly doubt that there are implementations in place to mitigate the risk of MUC participants recording a GoToMeeting session with a program like FRAPS (as an example), simply because you - the facilitator does not have control over the participant's systems.

In order to record a meeting, you must have the following:  A GoTo Meeting Pro or Plus tier account  The Cloud recording feature activated by an account admin.  "} } ] } Create your first meeting today Try GoTo Meeting, the virtual meeting platform for online collaboration.

Next, launch the app and hit the Record it! Capture button. The recording will automatically begin, with the recorded video's length displayed next to the capture button. Once done, hit the Stop Broadcast button to end the recording session.

Once done with the recording, enhance the resulting file, Camera Roll Videos, or YouTube videos with customizable FaceCam Reactions. Can you also edit the recording with various options? Yes, the app enables you to apply filters, trim and rotate your video, adjust playback speed, and change canvas and background color.

Use the Pause button to temporarily stop the recording at any time. Once the meeting is over or when you want to end the capturing process, tap on the recording widget on the app and click the Stop button. The app will then save the recorded GoToMeeting session, tutorial, or webinar to the Android gallery.

If you had used a built-in tool, the local recordings are, by default, saved in the Documents folder. To retrieve it, follow this sequence C:\Users\%user_name%\Documents. That is, head to your Computer, hit the Computer tab, click the Local Disk button, scroll down and select Users, and finally, open the Documents tab. Alternatively, change the default location to your preferred folder or location for easy and faster access.

To share your recorded meeting go to the Dashboard>Click on the recording>Click on the Share button, and from here you will get a sharable link to share your recording. You can also share your recording directly to your social channels from Vamker.
