How To Download Metatrader 5 On Laptop

I purchased the Acer Aspire Onetoday with 160 gb HHD at Office Depot. Got Metatrader to load NO problems at all. At at 2.5 lbs it is a lot better than my huge older laptop. I just like the portability of this size of laptop.

I may not have pansy quotes on the bottom of my messages but i can say that I used an asus eee computer to trade forex and made just as much with that. you will use it more being able to carry it anywhere. you may say your laptop is portable but how many people enjoy carrying them around.

Please Write down all your system ( hardware ) laptops and destops and specifications on them if you can and specify why you feel comfortable with them, i see there was no thread on hardware used so thought to add it so that it might be valuable to newbies trying to buy new hardware starting into trading ( Pro traders views welcomed plz)

well what i was wondering is someone to come back with suggestions on multipe trading platforms or laptops what they use and are they useful ??? anyone here with multiple trading screens like 2 to 4 ?

Most laptops can run the common tradingplatform without much problem. But the question I would ask you is; do you need a machine just to enter/exit orders or do you plan to do research as well on the machine?

If the machine is only to enter and exits trades, then any laptop will do (even some mobilephones/PDA/smartphones will do).

But if you also wants to do reasearch and use large/multiple charts, some heavy spreadsheats etc. then you would be better of buying a laptop with a big screen and at least a dualcore prosessor and 2 gig with ram.

I do all my research on my stationary computer, and I got a HTC tytn II for enter and exit orders on the go (news trading). And I got a laptop as backup/travels with a 15" inch screen that I find barly large enough for research but more than adequate for simple trading.

Screen size? And what about external monitors? I imagine you have one or two of those, right? If so, how are you connecting those bad boys? I have a 30in Dell monitor running dual link DVI and had a monster of a time hooking it up to a new laptop with only USB C and USB3 connections.

My cpu would never go over 25% with a 14x metatrader4 installation & freeze the programs (Core0 & core15 in taskmanager 100%) but now that i use the 8x Metatrader4 with hypertreading disabled and used affinity to set 1 core per program my CPU is actually working.

Although you can run MT4/5 on ubuntu (as I do), you will run into issues with regards to rendering of icons/graphics, that is problematic in the linux world. My suggesting to you, is if you want to run something native on your laptop/desktop (without the use of a VPS), then try opening up a demo account with a broker that offers a web based platform.

You should now be able to easily set up MetaTrader push notifications so that you get an alert sent to your mobile device if price moves above or below a certain level or if some other major market event occurs. Hi I am a copy trading provider and I want to know if I can connect over 200 clients account to one master account in the same computer and do I need to install 200 mt4 to do this?

Secondly if I host a VPS and maybe my laptop or computer is off and I place trades with my phone can it still be placed in the 200 accounts?

Typically, like most software, the default setting for MT4/MT5 automatically updates the software. The software will periodically check the Metaquotes website to determine any new updates. These new updates will be downloaded automatically on the computer, laptop, smartphone, or another gadget where MetaTrader is installed.
