As the years passed, the original doodle is gone. And although I do save all of the photos I take with my phone using Dropbox's camera upload feature, finding the picture will take forever - and there's always the possibility that it might not have gotten backed up correctly.

I want to make sure I don't lose this picture. The easiest thing for me is if I could just find where the wallpaper image is saved in the Android file system...but I can't find it, and googling hasn't been helpful.

If you don't have a photo in your Gallery that you want to use, you can browse for a new one. Your phone's wallpaper store has many professionally created wallpapers, some of which are even animated. However, most require you to pay for them.

When I hit snooze on my phone the next morning, I smiled. Smiling back at me was my middle child, Tess, proud of herself for independently holding a Di Bruno Bros bag full of cheeses and meats, our haul for a picnic lunch at our park down the street later that day.

The closest Android equivalent without having to download a third-party app is the Screen Saver feature in Settings. It cycles through select images or photo albums when charging, turning your Android phone into a digital photo frame.

Samsung Galaxy phones have a built-in option for setting video wallpapers, but other Android phones don't, so for them, you need to install a third-party live wallpaper app instead. For this guide, we'll use Video Live Wallpaper, which is free from the Play Store.

The app doesn't have any options for using video wallpaper only on the lock screen. If you want to apply it to the lock screen only, choose the Home screen and lock screen option first, and then change the home screen wallpaper to what it was before.

Live wallpapers are resource intensive as they use the device's chipset to render videos on the screen. While most Android phones can handle live wallpapers without any trouble, if you're using them on devices with a weaker chipset, there's a chance that the background animation may affect your smartphone's performance and battery life.

Live wallpapers not only give your smartphone an aesthetic appeal but are also the best way to relive memories from the past, as video recording replaces the still pictures on your device. Third-party video wallpaper apps have more advantages as they allow you to set videos of any length as wallpaper, along with an option to enable or disable sounds.

I downloaded a photo from facebook, and set it as the wallpaper on my phone, then decided I wanted to remove it again. The problem is, I have not yet been able to find a way to delete photos from the wallpaper and lock screen selection. I can understand that they might not want me deleting the stock ones, but it seems there is also no way to delete the ones I loaded.

Normally, it is the home launcher app which changes the wallpaper in the device, both for home screen and lock screen. For default stock home launcher in OxygenOS, the custom image wallpapers are saved inside /data/user/0/net.oneplus.launcher/files/ with prefix wallpaper.

If you want to prevent that image to reappear in wallpaper selection view, you have to edit the database inside which its entry is stored and then delete that entry. Simply removing the wallpaper file from data directory doesn't always work.

There are some apps which claim to both read and write an app's database, such as SQLite Editor. It didn't work in my case though. I have My Android Tools (Pro) (not available in Play Store anymore) and I used it to remove the entries for wallpapers from the aforesaid database. It is quite easy to use. Select the app, select the database, select the table, then row and tap on delete icon.

Under Settings > Device care > Storage > User date > Files check the wallpaper file you want to delete. At bottom of screen is the trash barrel symbol. Press it then reboot the Android device. The wallpaper file is gone.

Cussed out Samsung for not making this easy. If you have selected one or more image(s) to use as either lock screen or homepage images the solution is to move just one of the images to another location other than PICTURES then reboot. If you don't reboot the system will just complain that you have to select another image but you can't. Just reboot and that apparently clears the image list. Now it's just a matter of running the wallpaper tool, selecting the image(s) you want to use and the list is rebuilt. Pain in the wazoo but works.

Setting a TikTok video as a live wallpaper on an Android phone is easy but requires a lot of steps. Just open TikTok, find a video you like, tap the three dots on the right side of the screen, and hit the Set as wallpaper option. The app will then prompt you to download the wallpaper plugin from Google Play.

Open the plugin app and tap on Open TikTok to set wallpaper. When you do, a full-screen preview of the video will play, and if it looks good to you, you can tap Set as wallpaper, followed by Set wallpaper at the bottom of your screen. Android will then ask you to choose whether you want to set the video as your home screen background, or if you also want it on your lock screen.

To set it as a background, follow the same path you would use with a regular picture: go to Settings, Wallpaper, and Choose a wallpaper. There, scroll to the right folder, select the file you want, tap Set, and select where you want to use it.

Still, having a live wallpaper is a great idea if you want something fun to look at whenever you check your notifications or simply want to blow the uninitiated minds of those who have only ever seen static backgrounds.

Don't get stuck with the standard wallpapers on your smartphone. Make your own in Photoshop CC using these simple steps and use your very own images to stand out from the crowd. We all love setting photos of loved ones, cherished pets, or a holiday snap as our mobile phone wallpaper or lock screen, but often the images either pixellate, or crop off essential parts of the photo. So in this tutorial I'll show you how to choose the best photos for your phone wallpaper, prepare them with the correct resolution, and even transform small or oddly cropped images into works of art that fill your phone screen.

Smartphone screens are typically used in vertical orientation, so ideally your photograph should match this. Any subject which is big in the frame works well for these images, because they're viewed at arms length. Anything too small and detailed is difficult to see, especially when outside in daylight where the ambient light is brighter than the screen. It also helps to pick a photo that is bright and/or colorful. If you want to use a photo that isn't vertically aligned don't worry, below I'll show you how to create one from a horizontally oriented photo as well.

In Photoshop CC 2020 make a new document. You'll have to head to Google now and type in your phone's make and model to find out the screen resolution. The resolution comes in two parts: how many pixels long the edges are, and the density of the pixels on the screen. Higher end smartphones generally have a high pixel density.

Sometimes your favorite shot won't be vertical. In fact, lots of landscapes look better in horizontal orientation (which is why they're nicknamed "landscape" format). Setting these images as your wallpaper will either result in huge gaps at the top and bottom of your lock screen, or zoom up so close on the photo that it looks poor quality and ruins the vista. But there's a way around it.

Now that you've prepared the design you just have to save it as a JPEG by going to File>Save As. Alternatively, if you want to keep the size down because you're running out of storage space on your device, then head to File>Save For Web (Legacy) or if you're feeling adventurous press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S simultaneously. Then make sure the resolution is right in the export window that appears, and choose JPEG High in the Preset box at the top. Then simply transfer the image via wired connection, Bluetooth, WiFi, Airdrop, or email and save it on your phone as the wallpaper.

Once you've got a Photoshop document set up, and before importing any media into it, you can save it as a template Photoshop document and use it to make future wallpaper backgrounds without having to set it up each time. Just save it as a Photoshop document with an empty layer in.

Alternatively, if you don't fancy setting up your own Photoshop document there are services out there that will automatically generate wallpapers for you without all the editing. Adobe Spark is one such service. However, I think learning how to make it yourself not only gives you greater freedom when creating phone wallpapers but also gives you valuable Photoshop skills that you can apply to any kind of photo editing for the future.

1. Search for a high resolution image you like and save it to your phone.

2. Open it with PS Express and use the 3:4 crop preset. Adjust if needed.

3. Export as full size 100% jpg. "Also select None for watermark. It's set to one by default. Don't need to do this again though."

3. Now select it as a wallpaper.

One way to do this is to type your name on the photo you will use as your lock screen wallpaper. If you don't have or aren't familiar with photo software, look for photo editing websites that will allow you to do this for free (example: Fotor).

In addition to location apps available from the App Store, iCloud has a tracking feature and a "lost mode" that will display contact information on the phone lock screen. Read more here (iCloud: Lock and track your device using Lost Mode in Find My iPhone). ff782bc1db
