Hi, I have iphone 12 with IOS 16.1.1, (although the problems has been with me for many IOs's). I have backed up the phone on OS Catalina, through the finder. There are movies under the 'Films' tab, which are checked, but I cannot find them on the phone, I have looked in Apple TV, itunes, podcasts, photos, docs, slides, files... I give up, why's it so difficult to find them?

You sync them through iTunes. If they were not purchased from the ITunes store then you may need to convert them and make sure they are compatible. You can also view movies/video through apps like Netflix, Youtube, various TV apps etc

If you have synced the movies with iTunes to your iPhone ... open the app Movies (hope this is the right translation because I run a german system) on your iPhone. If the sync hasn't worked, then you get a message from iTunes.

Okay, maybe I'm way dense, but I can't find a video app. I downloaded one that says Music Videos, but I don't think it's what I need. When I click on the itunes icon, it doesn't give me a video or movies choice in the "more" section.

You can sync all or a selection of your movies on your Windows computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. If you have a classic iPod, it must be video-capable. To sync movies, you must have the Apple TV app installed on your Windows computer.

I currently have the canon EOS Rebel T7 camera and I'm having some issues transferring content shot from the camera to my iphone. I have the canon connect app and the transferring of images works fine. However when I shot videos in raw and I try to transfer those videos to my phone, it says that the movie format is not supported, so it cannot complete the transfer. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know! Thank you!

The best way to get movies from your camera to devices like phones would be to first copy the footage (e.g. via a card reader) to your computer. Then, edit the footage if needed and export to a format suitable for mobile devices. The most common being H.264. Thouh H.265 is also becoming more widespread.

One way to do this is by using the Movies Anywhere app. Link your Microsoft account to it. This will sync your purchased Microsoft movies across multiple platforms and devices, including your iPhone. Stream or download your fave Microsoft movies onto your Apple device.

Another option is to download the Microsoft Movies & TV app for iOS from the App Store. This app supports playback on Windows devices. It also allows streaming or downloading of rented or purchased movies to iPhones. Just sign in with your Microsoft account to access your library wherever you go.

Downloading movies to your iPhone or iPad is convenient, because it lets you plan ahead and watch video when you don't have access to Wi-Fi, like on a plane, or when you're camping far away from civilization.

The downside, of course, is that eventually your iPhone or iPad becomes cluttered with movies you no longer need. You can delete these movies and reclaim your iPhone or iPad's storage space, usually from the movie app itself or from your device's Settings app.

Psychological horror movies are already a force to be reckoned with, and Unsane's perspective takes things to a new level. Traumatized after a harrowing incident with a stalker, Sawyer moves to a new home and accidentally volunteers to be admitted to a psychiatric ward for 24 hours. Things go from bad to horrifying as she unravels the secrets within Highland Creek Behavioral Center, and she quickly realizes that her stalker hasn't given up yet. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this one will have you on the edge of your seat right up until the very last second.

If authentic picture quality is your thing (and, as a movie buff, we reckon it is), you're bound to want to view movies as the director intended. Trouble is, if you have Night Shift enabled on an iPhone or iPad then the colours of the display will shift to warmer colours when it's sunset, while True Tone automatically adjusts colors at whatever time of day to suit the surrounding ambient lighting.

\nIt's a good idea, then, to turn both of these off when you're watching a movie. Open the Control Centre, then press down firmly on the Brightness control icon. You can then tap the icons at the bottom of the screen to turn off Night Shift and True Tone. Just tap them again to reactivate once the movie has finished.

If you have photo-sensitive epilepsy, you find flashing lights make you feel ill, or if you simply hate flashes, then you're able to dim flashing lights within a movie. It'll tackle stroboscopic effects and make movies easier on the eye. It does so by detecting the issue and dimming the screen to compensate at that moment.

While adding subtitles to movies is pretty straightforward on a computer, the process can be a bit challenging on an iPhone due to the differences in software compatibility, file management, and the overall interface of iOS.

The App Store is home to several third-party video players that offer advanced playback features and seamless subtitle integration with movies and TV shows. One popular choice is VLC Media Player, a feature-rich app that lets you play MKV files on your iPhone.

The last option is the most reliable for importing large movie files into the VLC app. The following steps detail how you can use the Sharing via Wi-Fi feature to import movies from your computer to your iPhone:

Apple TV, iPhone's native video app, allows you to watch movies with subtitles in various languages easily. However, iPhones do not support SRT files natively, so there's no way you can directly download or read them on your device.

While this may be a bummer for those who prefer watching movies on their smartphones, third-party apps like VLC media player serve as workarounds to watch movies with subtitles on your iPhone by fetching subtitles from the web.

Your iPhone would probably have a default setting of 30 frames per second. But, did you know that Hollywood movies are shot at 24 frames per second? By changing to 24 fps, you will achieve the most cinematic look there is for you.

So I'm thinking about getting the new Samsung phone but I don't know if I can't get all my movies and tv shows I brought from iTunes over to the new phone, does Samsung smart switch transfer all the movies and tv shows from iPhone to the device?
