The Arbor office and teaching staff spend significant time planning and implementing engaging, in-depth and unique classes for our community well in advance of the class start dates. The sustainability of the program as a whole is dependent on predictable registration levels. Decreases in class registration levels at the last minute create real costs for the organization and when fluctuations in enrollment are significant, they jeopardize the future size and scope of the program that can be offered. As such, we kindly ask families not to register for classes they do not intend to take and to make any changes to their schedules by June 30, 2023. Should unavoidable changes be required after June 30, 2023, families are asked to make a voluntary donation of $75 to The Arbor per class to help offset operational costs and help The Arbor to continue to provide customizable education for the community in the future.

After June 30th: Any family dropping a class, without registering for an equivalent number of replacement classes, will be permitted to continue in companion spring classes, but will forfeit priority registration for any new Spring 2024 classes during the Spring 2024 registration session. Families impacted by the drop policy will be welcome to register during New Family Registration.

While responsibility of the campus trees often ultimately lies with the campus forester, arborist, landscape architect, or designated facilities department, the Campus Tree Advisory Committee can assist in providing guidance for future planning, approval of a comprehensive campus tree plan, education of the campus population as to the benefits of the campus trees, and development of connectivity to the community.

Trees make our campus, and our town, a special place to live. They shade our classrooms, our homes, our businesses, and our streets. They clean our air and water, reduce storm water run-off, increase our property values, reduce energy costs, and make our campus greener, safer, and healthier.

Hi! My name is Bethanne Nemesh and I am a classically trained artist with degrees in Art and Art Therapy...but more importantly...I've been mastering the art of free motion machine quilting for over 23 years!I have extensively shown my quilts and have been honored to win many major awards in all levels of national and international quilting. My deepest love though, is teaching. I have taught quilters all over the world to love quilting and find their own voice of creative expression through the stitched line. And now...I'm thrilled to be able to bring that experience into your own home digitally!Whether taking a 3 month 1:1 feedback masterclass with me, or a shorter quilt retreat, helping you on your creative journey is my most important achievement!

As sixth graders enter Greenhills, we begin challenging them to examine their role within the local and global community, and one way we do this is through the Standard of Living Project carried out in every Global Studies class. To enrich the learning experience, teachers...

We were thrilled to have so many volunteers who came out to plant trees with us this year. This was our 13th consecutive arbor day planting, and our 12th year being acknowledged as a Tree Campus Higher Education institution. On April 20, 2023 from 11-12 we planted 6 trees on the east side of the Lory Student Center to celebrate Colorado and National Arbor Day! Download the flyer.

It began in 2003 with the need to relocate some trees at the Heritage Arboretum when the Summit Hall dorm was constructed. The trees were moved to the Centre Arboretum site which is approximately 6 acres. The plants at both the Heritage Arboretum and the Centre Arboretum are now part of the overall campus arboretum effort but are still managed by the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. Both areas have plants that were donated to the woody plant evaluation program from generous support from members of the Green Industry and other public gardens. Between the two sites, the arboretum at CSU has the largest collections of woody plants in the region with over 1,100 different taxa represented. Each plant is evaluated every two years and the report is available for free and online at New plants are continually being added and evaluated in the collection.
