We bought tickets on British Airways to London (LHR) for a flight on May 8th before knowing exactly where in Germany we would be flying into and subsequently bought tickets from London to Frankfurt on May 9th also on British Airways. British Airways tell me that while I can't combine the flights, or the return flights from Munich to Seattle, I will be able to check my luggage through since both tickets are within a 24 hour period. I am still a little nervous about the possibility of having to pick up our luggage at baggage claim and go through security again at Heathrow though we do have more than four hours between flights so there is some leeway in terms of the time we have to play with.

It is against BA policy to through check bags if not on one ticket (for that matter it is the policy of the wider Oneworld Alliance). You may get someone willing to do it but certainly don't count on it.

I ask because I had that experience with Delta in which the daughter of a friend of mine bought round-trip tickets between her local airport & Atlanta and then a few days later bought round-trip tickets between Atlanta and Paris. She called an agent to see if he could combine the tickets and he said no. Geez, I've had two seperate tickets wth two different carriers yet the bags were checked right through to my destination. It was done through the Interline Baggage Agreement between the two airlines. (this has been done on international flights on more than one occasion.)

Now, I booked my journey with British Airways, starting in Madrid and ending in Larnaca via London Heathrow. The first flight is operated by Iberia and the second by BA but, as I said, I booked everything as a single ticket on BA's portal.

I recently booked a ticket for myself and my 10 year old child to travel to Europe with British Airways, I paid by Paypal, as I have done in the past with no problems - however this time BA have only taken the money for the childs ticket and not for mine ( the adult) now as children cannot travel on their own I find that weird, also BA have issued an e ticket that clearly shows both mine and the childs names and my paypal account has two transactions saying British Airways payment - one relates to me and one relates to my child - however the bank account that is attached to my paypal account has only been debited for my childs ticket, has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you resolve it. I will add my paypal account had a nil cash balance so its not as if they took the funds from there.
