However, if you're watching TV in a dark room, which we highly recommend for any high-quality video experience, those sizzling highlights may seem too bright, causing your eyes to become sore or scratchy. If you've ever stared at your phone in a dark room, you've probably experienced this.

Someone shining a flashlight in your eyes at night is annoying, right? But standing in a room with the lights on isn't. Your eye adjusts to the average amount of light hitting your retina. A dark room with a bright TV is still, on average, dark. So your iris is wide open. But the parts of your retina getting hit by the light from the TV are overwhelmed. They get fatigued, causing the tired, scratchy feeling.

How To Download Bright Lights Entertainment On Firestick

Download the Hue Sync desktop app to your computer. Once installed, select the Games, Music, or Video mode to begin syncing. The app connects your lights to the content on your computer screen and allows you to adjust the brightness and light speed, set the sync mode, and more.

SDR Picture Modes. Any display worth putting in your living room needs to offer excellent SDR picture quality. The LTV-3500's high brightness coupled with the dedicated ambient light rejecting screen produces a picture that can overcome a significant amount of ambient light. It can do this in any of its SDR picture modes, but when the lights are on what you really want is the brightest image you can get out of it.

Unfortunately, the wide Rec.2020 gamut coverage comes at a cost. Like all other RGB triple laser light source UST projectors that I have reviewed, this one presents an artifact called laser speckle. Laser speckle can appear on the screen due to the laser light being randomly scattered by the textured screen surface. It appears as a thin, uniform layer that seems to float on the surface of bright objects of particular colors, very often red is the most obvious. While the LTV-3500 was neither the best nor worst I've seen in this regard, its brightness does amplify the effect to some degree. I'm likely a bit more prone to seeing it than a typical viewer, possibly from having a heightened awareness of its presence. But, with regular movies or video games, and sitting about 11 or 12 feet away, I totally forgot about the speckle. I also never noticed it during the day, or when lights were on. But in the dark with a full red screen, it's easily seen.

Laser TV or UST projectors like this one are not intended to rival high-end home theater projectors typically found in completely darkened media rooms. Instead, the LTV-3000 Pro is more likely to be used in a space with higher ambient light levels from lights on viewing or windows. In these circumstances, the ability of the projector to produce deep blacks takes a backseat to the projector's ability to produce a bright image.

The most common reason your TV may be struggling to show you detail in dark scenes is that it's competing with other bright light sources or with screen glare. Your eyes adjust for the bright lights, and then can't see the dark detail on screen as it's drowned out.

So draw the curtains, turn off the lights, or move lights that are causing screen glare to better positions. If your TV doesn't have particularly high peak brightness specs, it will benefit greatly from replicating the dark interior of a theater.

Create rooms and groups to organize your lights. You can even put a light in several groups. Place widgets for temperature sensors, easy control of lights, setting color and brightness without opening of the app. ff782bc1db
