Now I'll give firewall ultra credit that it's a psvr2 exclusive along with crossfire Sierra squad even thoe it has PCVR. Breachers is cross play which means you will have a lot of kids in your games. The competitive for breachers is popular so your best to join that or if you can get a really good squad of friends to play. Just be prepared for screaming kids

My last playthrough I started getting wrecked by mech breachers, which was not terribly fun. I also found out about the new vanilla shelf stuff, and did a bit of research into the 1.4+ meta for killboxes. So I went ahead and rerolled a new base and it's been fun condensing down to a smaller footprint with the base.

But even after reading like a million reddit threads, I'm stumped on how to deal with breachers. I'm willing to cheese but not outright mod them away unless I have to. I don't have any DLCs and I try to keep my modlist to a minimum (utility columns and wall lights are my big OP splurge heh). The Singularity killbox is small enough to appeal to my sensibilities and aesthetic. I think I've figured out sappers and "smart" breachers, and I learned my lesson about not holding off on mortars, but it doesn't help at all against breachers.

I'm in a desert biome, so I've got elephants. I read that a massive herd of attack elephants are basically the only reliable method of dealing with breachers other than scattering the map with pillboxes and mazes and fighting outside of my base... but that honestly seems exhausting and micromanagey. If I wanted to micromanage pve I'd be playing a very different game lol.

The breacher was a missile weapon that was in use by the Chiss Ascendancy. Upon impact they exploded into sticky acid globs that ate through the metals of the hulls of spacecraft, making them more vulnerable to laser fire.[1] This made breachers effective even when the missiles were destroyed en route to their targets, because the acid would keep going for a certain range where it could still damage enemy starships.[2]

The use of breachers to weaken an enemy's hull and systems, followed by spectrum lasers targeting the weakened area of the enemy ship, was called a follow-up spread, and formed the basic "one-two punch" of Chiss battle tactics.[3] ff782bc1db
