My iPhone will not play aa inflight movies. I have been on 5 flights and no movies will work. The ads work just fine. However, after I watch the ads I get a spinning icon on my screen that never goes away. The movies do not work.

My wife and I could not stream any movies on our recent trip via American Airlines to Cabo and back. As previously described in this thread, we could see the ads prior to the movies and could watch trailers, but the movie start arrow did nothing. I have an iPad with up-to-date iOS and an iPhone 13 Pro Max, my wife has the latest iPad and an iPhone 12 Pro, all with up-to-date iOS...nothing worked. Pretty frustrating!

When using Brave on a samsung S21 android phone, on an American Airlines flight, you get to watch the ads and disclaimer videos but the movies will not play, even with shields down. They work fine in the samsung internet app.

I'm sitting on my second flight in a row with the currently busted southwest app. It only plays movies in a tiny window, black bars left a right, top and bottom like a crummy 90's widescreen dvd transfer.

There are no screen size controls in the current version of the app, only language and subtitle settings.

someone please go flog the developers, and make them watch 24 hours of messed up window boxed video in a tiny little seat, then fire them and hire someone that can code. Please. Please. Please.

Shortly after departure, they crew started to distribute the Bose headsets and I started watching movies I missed last year in theater. After about an hour into the movie, the in-flight dining service started. I really liked the food on American Airlines, maybe because I am used to Main Cabin food?! But food is always a personal opinion for every person itself. I was happy with what they offered and how it tasted and I could watch a movie on the side of it.

We recently purchase Switch's for our 10yo triplets. About to take a plane trip with the devices. Since most airlines expect passengers to use personal devices to stream movies on the plane, curious if the Switch can be used in that manner. We'd rather keep the iPads at home and rely on only the Switch to stream.

As someone who uses my Switch to watch YouTube regularly, I second this option, or even a phone in airplane mode. The reason is simply because movies can be downloaded, albeit you have to buy them from the device's respective store, or use Movies Anywhere if you have a digital code included with a DVD or Blu-Ray.

Since August 1st, select Apple TV+ shows are available to stream free-of-charge for anyone with a device featuring an internet connection, a spokesperson for the airline confirmed to Simple Flying. Passengers watching shows or movies on their phones or tablets need to have downloaded the American Airlines app, while those using their laptops can visit aainflight.com.

American Airlines and Gogo also provide inflight personal device entertainment through the same gogoinflight Wi-Fi signal. This service is free of charge, and allows passengers to watch movies and TV episodes on their own smartphones and tablets.Presumably, contents are pre-downloaded to a server located inside the aircraft, and therefore accessing those contents do not consume radio bandwidth.

While watching videos are permitted during the flight, Gogo does not want passengers to download these copyrighted movies for watching later at home. Therefore, users must have the Gogo Entertainment app on their mobile devices in order to watch movies. The app is compatible with the Digital Rights Management technology used in the entertainment server, to ensure that the movies can be watched for free, but cannot be (easily) downloaded. But what if the device does not already have the Gogo Entertainment app?

In 1958, Hughes told his aides that he wanted to screen some movies at a film studio near his home. He stayed in the studio's darkened screening room for more than four months, never leaving. He ate only chocolate bars and chicken and drank only milk, and was surrounded by dozens of boxes of Kleenex that he continuously stacked and re-arranged.[134] He wrote detailed memos to his aides giving them explicit instructions neither to look at him nor speak to him unless spoken to. Throughout this period, Hughes sat fixated in his chair, often naked, continuously watching movies. When he finally emerged in the summer of 1958, his hygiene was terrible. He had neither bathed nor cut his hair and nails for weeks; this may have been due to allodynia, which results in a pain response to stimuli that would normally not cause pain.[64]

For many travelers, watching movies is an essential part of the flying experience. Whether you want to catch up on the latest blockbusters or binge-watch your favorite TV shows, there are several options available to make your in-flight movie viewing enjoyable. In this article, we will explore different ways to watch movies on an airplane, along with some frequently asked questions.

Most airlines provide an in-flight entertainment system, allowing you to watch movies and TV shows on the seatback screens. These systems offer a wide range of options, including recent releases, classics, and various genres. To access the movies, simply use the remote control or touch screen provided on your seat. While this option is convenient, keep in mind that the selection may be limited, depending on the airline and flight duration.

If you prefer to have more control over your movie selection, consider bringing your own device on the flight. Many airlines now offer Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stream movies from popular platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, or Disney+. Before your flight, ensure that the airline provides Wi-Fi and check if there are any fees associated with it. Also, download the necessary apps and movies in advance, as the quality and speed of the in-flight Wi-Fi may vary.

While DVDs may seem outdated, they can still be a reliable option for watching movies on a plane. If you have a collection of DVDs at home, select a few favorites and carry them with you. Portable DVD players are lightweight, compact, and will keep you entertained during your flight. However, keep in mind that not all airlines provide power outlets, so charge your portable DVD player fully before boarding the plane.

Q1. Can I watch movies on my phone during the flight?

A1. Yes, you can watch movies on your phone during the flight. Ensure that you have downloaded the movies in advance or have a reliable internet connection if streaming is allowed.

Q3. Do I need to pay extra for Wi-Fi to watch movies on my device?

A3. Some airlines offer free Wi-Fi, while others charge a fee. Check with your airline before the flight to understand the Wi-Fi policy and any associated costs.

Q4. Can I watch movies on a long-haul flight without Wi-Fi?

A4. Yes, you can watch movies on a long-haul flight without Wi-Fi. Use the in-flight entertainment system or bring your own device loaded with downloaded movies.

In conclusion, watching movies on an airplane has become easier than ever with various options available. Whether you prefer using the in-flight entertainment system, streaming on your own device, renting or downloading movies, or carrying a portable DVD player, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your favorite films while soaring through the skies. Just remember to plan ahead, charge your devices, and be mindful of any airline-specific restrictions. Sit back, relax, and immerse yourself in a world of entertainment on your next flight.

Did you know that on most American Airlines flights you can stream all their movies, TV shows and music to your mobile device or laptop? As long as they've got WiFi onboard, you'll be able to watch or listen to what you like with the American Airlines app.

Most flights won't allow you to stream video directly from sites like YouTube and Netflix, so instead, you'll have to watch movies and TV shows from your flight's free onboard entertainment catalog. However, you can stream video on select Airbus 319 and Boeing 737 aircraft within United's fleet, including the 737 MAX 8 and 9 and Boeing 757-300s. e24fc04721
