Hello and welcome to my page. This article is one of many which I will be publishing, the aim is to discuss issues surrounding learning to drive, how to get yourself up and running with driving lessons and eventually passing your driving test!
Cheap isn't always cheerful!
When searching for driving instructors in Burton on Trent you may be tempted to select the cheapest instructor that you can find. While cost is important, it shouldn't be the deciding factor. In this short article, I will briefly discuss how you should go about selecting a driving instructor without breaking the bank.
Cheap driving instructors sometimes represent a false economy. Yes the hourly rate may be the lowest, however, the quality of lessons may be poor and result in you needing more lessons to become test ready. The cost of driving lessons in Burton-on-Trent usually varies between £20-30 with a small number of instructors charging more and some charging less.
Do your homework
As with any situation where you are parting with your hard-earned cash, make sure you have done your due diligence. Most instructors will have some kind of online presence and this will be a perfect place to search for reviews and testimonials. Whether it be Facebook, Yell.com, or the Google Business directory you should be able to find reviews and customer feedback. Look carefully for the level of detail and common themes. For instance, I would imagine you would want your instructor to be calm, patient, understanding, etc. If you see these qualities throughout the reviews then you are most probably on the right track.
Make a shortlist
Once you have selected the instructors with the best reviews you should make a list and make the first contact. You can tell a lot from a quick conversation over the phone. Be aware that most of the busy instructors may not be able to answer during the day as they will likely be on a driving lesson. The evening will probably be the best time to call and get a feel of the person and also their prices. Also, ask the instructor about any offers or introductory promotions that you can take advantage of.
Go get em!
Now you have an idea of where to start and how to select the most cost-effective driving instructor without compromising on quality. Remember that you need to try and strike the balance between quality and cost. There are plenty of brilliant driving instructors in Burton-on-Trent who are reasonably priced. Do your homework and all being well you will be well on your way to getting your driving test. Good luck with finding a driving instructor and getting yourself on the road!
